...all praise me! Time to get a DS. I'm getting Phoenix Wright (if it's out) and ONE MORE TITLE, so recommend me some games, bitches. :)

Well you know Castlevania is fantastic...although there's not much there in the way of innovation. Still rocks.

No, I want a game that really takes advantage of the stylus feature. The Trauma whatever sounds pretty good, I was quite the Operation whiz kid as a wee tot, I'm getting that same vibe.

It may be a little kidzy for you, but Kirby: Canvas Curse uses nothing but the stylus. I loved it, and had never played a Kirby game prior to it. In case you're not familiar, it's a side-scrolling, 2D platformer, but you probably knew that. Loaded with stylus gameplay.

I am waiting for the redesign to get a DS.

I can't believe I want one either because I thought it was one of the worst systems ever when I heard of it.

If you want games that take advantage of the stylus:

Polarium
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Yoshi Touch and Go
Meteos
Zoo Keeper
WarioWare: Touched!
Lost in Blue has some neat touch screen thingies
Super Mario 64 DS Avoid Total!

And welcome to the silver side.

Get Kirby Canvas Curse. Its really the best use of the stylus if you don't count Trama Center and Ouendan (Import).

Bish (SUP!) get Castlevania. It rocks so hard.

Castlevania has SOME semi-neat stylus usage. And it's >>>>>>> Phoenix Wright.

OBJECTION!

That statement clearly contradicts the evidence at hand. In fact...

*flashing screen*

Castlevania is only 1 > greater than Phoenix Wright!

*audience murmurs in confusion*

DS redesign what? Fuck it, I'm not waiting. Finished GTA LCS' story mode and I need something new for the train commute. What special stylus features does Castlevania have? I'm serious, I want to try out some new game mechanics...

castlevania is rather short, its worth the purchase but i think youre gonna get alot more mileage out of phoenix wright or trauma center.

castlevania uses stylus for sealing bosses

get phoenix wright as your #1 game, but choose yourself out of castlevania/trauma/sonic rush :P

thx fellas

Why is Busta Rhymes menacing Britney in your avatar??!

It isn't Britney Spears, it's Mariah Carey from the video of the song they did together in 2003 called "i know what you want" for Busta's album.

The best game that really uses the stylus is Meteos in my opinion. Mario Kart, Castlevania, and Advance Wars DS are a hundred times better but, you really don't use the stylus much in Castlevania and Mario Kart and you don't even need it for for AW.

And also it uses the touchscreen for anything menu-based (title screen options, the extra enemy set mode, fusing weapons, and equiptment), guiding familiar guardian souls (enemy helpers, especially Quetzalcoatl) on screen, selecting where you wanna teleport in blue rooms and ... that's just about it.

Still a worthless use of stylus controls.

But definitely get Castlevania even if it's not your first purchase. After you beat the game and unlock Juilius mode, get Alucard and it plays just like SotN. Mauling enemies with him controls like a dream.

Any other games listed here are better and very good uses of the stylus.

$#(@*&(#@!$&@#$ Future Shop didn't have Phoenix Wright OR Trauma Center in, nor did they have any idea as to when they'd get some in. Apparently some of the DS-heads on staff had to order PW from freakin' Amazon! Ridiculous I say

Don't think those games were printed in big amounts, they're probably very limited, probably cause they're very niche. Did you try finding them online?

I got lucky, and found a copy at EB. I think it's the only brick and mortar store that carries Phoenix, which is too bad, as the game is ridiculously awesome.

Really, Mario Kart sessions started petering off after opening ace attourney.

If you really want a new game experience, get Kirby. Both games are two experiences no modern console game offers.

There might not be one, but I am just assuming there will be within the next 6 months. If it is something like the SP redesign you might wish you had waited. :D

Makes use of the stylus?

Trauma Center would probably be the choice, but you're gonna get frustrated at how inaccurate the game is.

bish:

The holy trinity for the DS is as such--

Phoenix Wright
Meteos
Mario Kart

Phoenix Wright is of course, the sexy adventure game with hilarious results.
Meteos is Tetris on fire, going 130 miles per hour through a hospital zone, being chased by helicopters and ninjas.*
Mario Kart is just a great evolution of the series. It greatly balances the racing and party game sides, provides some great track design and graphics, and is online. Hard to beat it.

PW is somewhere around 16 hours long (I think), and fascinating throughout. Mario Kart and Meteos will last you each about 50 hours or more. Hell, I've probably played MK ~20 hours since it came out. :lol

And I believe Meteos is $10CND some places in Canada.

*stolen catchphrase a go-go!

Lack of Trauma Center makes Bish go something something :(

Well, guess I'll have to set foot into EB *shudder* wish me luck.

welcome

but first you must pass our rite of passage. "The Paddling of the Swollen Ass, With Paddles!"

there are lots of good games on DS. Off the top of my head

Mario Kart
Bomberman (single cart multiplayer)
Kirby paintbrush
Advance Wars
Polarium
Ouedan!

Oh, and you can plug Rebelstar into the GBA slot
