There are also toilets in some houses in Baldur's Gate 2. I remember in De'Arnise Keep you can find a sapphire in a toilet.

The strangest one I can remember has to be in that beloved fan favourite, Metroid: Other M.

They don't serve any function other than filling out the setting, but when you approach them, the game switches to an over-the-shoulder viewpoint at a plodding walking speed for no discernible reason. They're just there. I'm not even one of those people with a chip on my shoulder about Other M, but something about the way the game draws special attention to entirely superfluous toilets perfectly encapsulates the overall experience.

You can't go into the male restrooms, either.

I think there's one VERY EARLY on in the game where there's like bugs or something crawling around on the floor, but that's really about it.

They treated the game, and the series, like a joke.

I always check if toilets are flushable. I think Max Payne had the best toilet sound effects.

If I remember correctly, the original BioShock has toilets that you can flush.

In Uncharted 3, a toilet plays a pretty key role at the beginning of the game.
