Each city has its own presentation you can watch. Rooting for Tokyo!

The decision will be presented in another 2 hours, if I'm correct.

Update: Tokyo winz.

I want Madrid because its closer to where I live, but I do have a lot friends in Tokyo so I could watch the Norwegian Handball team win another gold :)

All lead to horrible live TV times in North America, so that sucks.

That sucks for North Americans (and South Americans too!). I'll probably be in NA in 2020, so no definite favorite, but I'm rooting for Tokyo or Madrid (friends to visit in Tokyo, lots of family in southern France sooo not too far from Madrid).

That said, I don't think Spain can afford this.

I vote Spain for good UK TV times, even if it would probably be a bad idea for them right now.

It'd be the shittiest idea.

This is only being pushed by crooked politicians hoping to distract the public from the actual issues and making some significant coint in the process.

Fuck Botella. Fuck the PP. Fuck every simpleton who can't see what's going on.

I think Tokyo would have an amazing opening ceremony so I choose them purely on that basis

Istanbul will obviously get it.

These are the universal expos of modern times, convenient way for emerging countries to showcase their economy.

I just wish Wikileaks or any other actor could go apeshit on the Committee and release the actual price of winning the Olympics. The filth that goes behind the scenes must be epic, and I don't use that word lightly.

Spain's bid is by far the cheapest one. They've essentially ran on the idea that they want to set a precedent that hosting the Olympics doesn't have to be extremely expensive.

The Spanish approach to budgeting is to present reasonable expenditures on paper that balloon to all fuck as soon as the actual work begins.

Which is why I'm all "do not want" right now.

What was the last olympics that even approached the budget the organizers initially estimated.
