Tomb Raider Underworld screens (now with more arse)

Still got my sega saturn copy of tomb raider 1.

I've pretty much ignored the series since TR2, are any of the other games worth playing? I've heard that Anniversary (remake of 1) and Legend are pretty good, but what is the general consensus on the series?

is that it? I LOLed.

I think the idiots who compared this to Uncharted and called this an uncharted killer are all pwned.

Uggh, the games really aren't like each other and that's why the comparison was stupid.

Anyway, I guess there won't be any Croft Mansion in Underworld.

The only people comparing Uncharted and Tomb Raider are fucking idiots, because they are completely different games.

Lara is hot, no doubt about it. but just think, after she runs around in the hot jungle sweating and getting eaten alive by the sun she's gonna sweat a lot. and wet chicks are def hot, especially lara, but think about the vag. it probably smells so bad and who knows what's growing down there. they should have a vag cleaning kit in Underworld so she doesn't lose health. Im sure swimming around in the water helps but she needs to take care of that shit more. baby wipes or something

queef blast:lol

AS my Amish uncle would say, "My God, her underwear must be brown."

Game looks good overall.

"dude raider" begs to differ. Anyhow, I played the last game (not anniversary) on x360, and the series needs to evolve or die.

Play them both. They have similar concepts but the execution is completely different. Uncharted is an action game with adventure aspects while Tomb Raider is an adventure game with action aspects. Their "focus" is on different areas and that's what makes them different.

No more lock-on combat would make this game good.

Ugh, please, god, no! The alternative (on a console besides the Wii) is aiming with an analog stick like in Uncharted. It's difficult and all-around awful. Manual aiming should only be done with a mouse, or maybe the Wii Remote. Judging from the amount of games that make you manually aim with the analog stick, people must like it or at least tolerate it, but I think it sucks big-time.

If this keeps the same level of quality as the last two Tomb Raider games, I will be very happy.

Just another title to keep an eye out for this fall.

I'm not a big Tomb Raider fan, but I liked the first game a lot and Legends was also worthwhile, so I'm giving this one a shot for sure.

Legends was pretty good and I'm enjoying TR anniversary thanks to the none shitty controls found in the 1996 version. So I may pick this one up.

tomb raider underworld wont look as good as uncharted, but im betting itl be a better game (not that thats hard)

Before handing the controller back, we were able to get a few questions answered. Yes, Lara’s mansion is back, but the team can’t disclose in what capacity at the moment. Lara will also jump back on her bike in Underworld, but not in the form of a minigame or vehicle only level. Instead, she will use her bike as it should be – a mode of transportation – when it makes sense in the game. She will get on and off as you choose, and leave the bike behind when the landscape bars entry for the vehicle. Lindstrom also clarified that Lara won’t be running into other humans very often in the game, as all the locations she is visiting are very isolated. There are even times when she won’t be fully in contact with her tech team. What would you expect from a game titled Underworld? As of now, the Crystal Dynamics team is looking to ship Tomb Raider Underworld November 18. I know I can’t wait to get my hands on it again.

Anniversary is a MUCH MUCH better game, though.

Is it possible to edit the OP to put in a link to the trailer and have the thread title changed while we're at that. These screens are seriously not the main attraction. Trailer's way bad-ass for it not to be dedicated a thread to.

Well, in the teaser it's shown she blew up Croft Manor. For what reason, we don't know.

there is auto aim in uncharted anyway. just press the attack button without aiming

Ooooooo Lacrimosa! Good choice :)

Thanks for the trailer. I'll keep an eye on this one. I haven't enjoyed a TR title since 2.

That trailer is so NOT Tomb Raiderish...

So Lara blows up her home and she's happy about it... right...

Where did she look happy about it? She just blew it up and walked off. The ending of Legend was a very good indication that the next game in the series was going to have a darker tone. And this trailer is even more indication of that.

What makes you think she was happy about it?

edit, ^ beat me to it

I was really looking forward to this being a Tomb Raider fan since the first one (I've played all of them multiple times :D ) but the first unofficial gameplay movie looked early and disapponting ( the animations in the underwater section are just terrible).
We are almost in August and they still have to release an in depth official look at the gameplay. For a game coming out in November on so many platforms that isn't very good. I fear Crystal is behind schedule and they will be forced to release the game during the holyday season by the publishers...Angel of Darkness redux...cross fingers.

Well, she did have a smirk on her face when the whole thing blew up.

Really leaves a lot of question in my mind. Why the fuck what would she blow up her manor? Provided that "she" is actually Lara.
