TOP 10 SCARY things in MARIO 64

back in the 80's and early 90's thats how most people would say the name, even in the commercials, cartoon show, wizard movie and other adverts. it wasnt until mario64 and the voice actor fucking things up that things changed.
Those pronunciations were out there, but nowhere near the norm as you claim. A few instances of older correct pronunciation on a big scale: Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Super Mario Bros. 3 ad, Super Mario World cartoon, Super Mario Bros. movie.

The year the 64 and mario 64 came out, my parents got me it for christmas. I forget what year it was. Edit: I was 4/5 years old.

But the game was so different and intimidating with its size, that it for some reason scared the shit out of me, so my parents returned it.

True (embarrassing) story

Same thing happened to me. I don't know if it was because of not being used to 3D enviroments yet or what, but the fact is that it caused me nightmares, so I had to stop playing it at nights. Hazy Maze Cave and its theme, toxic pit and Dorrie still get on my nerves.

Here are some of my favorite scary things from SM64

-The haunted piano
-The coffin room in Boo's Haunted Mansion
-Final Bowser (the simulated lighting and the music!)
-Going in the water in Giant Island
-Using the windy shortcuts in the giant moutain level (you need to jump into one to access the cannon)
-Walking at a decent speed on Tiny Island
-Fighting the giant Ice Bully
-Big Boo's carousel
-Entering the pirate ship if you don't know what to do
-Getting close to Unagi the Eel
