Padma is really getting it done to her with the intros of people. It'll cut back and forth as she introduces each of the judges.BertramCooper said:And speaking of the editing, I continue to be appalled by the horrific audio editing. It's just godawful this season. Not that it's exactly been perfect in the past, but almost every single voice-over sounds like it's been chopped to pieces and haphazardly reassembled.
Yeah, it's getting to be worse than The Amazing Race, which is the standard-bearer for bad and/or misleading audio editing.BertramCooper said:And speaking of the editing, I continue to be appalled by the horrific audio editing. The main counter to your argument is that the ratings boost from being able to show a chef stealing would be enormous, and Bravo certainly would not be saving it for a reunion show. I really don't think there's footage, and as such while we can suspect the theft (and the producers certainly want us to with the flashback and Kenny comment), there simply is no evidence.BertramCooper said:Going by what we saw, Alex clearly stole Ed's puree. The camera crew and the editors must know the truth, and it's puzzling that Tom was completely oblivious to it. Hopefully, they'll pull out the tape at the reunion and we'll see some sort of resolution to it. It shouldn't be that hard to figure out. The field is small enough now that every chef should have pretty much their entire cooking process recorded. If they have no footage of Alex making the puree, then obviously, he stole it from Ed.
Same here. I hate all of them.mYm|17| said:I dunno what it is but I can't stand anybody this season.
One could also argue that saving the footage for the reunion while running promos saying "FIND OUT THE TRUTH ABOUT ALEX AND THE PEA PUREE" could significantly boost the ratings for the reunion show, which I'm willing to bet gets very poor ratings compared to the normal episodes.Zachack said:The main counter to your argument is that the ratings boost from being able to show a chef stealing would be enormous, and Bravo certainly would not be saving it for a reunion show. I don't get the hate for her. Unlike previous contestants who were shunned by the others, she actualy has talent and has beat the ones that talk bad about her. Her act of not knowing what to do really is annoying, but shows how orginal she is as they liked her dish and couldn't stand Kelly's. I feel sorry for her, but her panicking gets her in trouble. If I were the others though, that would send up a red flag that she's going to figure it out instead of slacking on your own dish.BertramCooper said:I'm glad Kelly didn't go home, because she's clearly one of the very best in this competition. Aside from this week's episode, she's also been one of the most consistent. I did like Andrea, and I was sad to see her go. She's far better than some of the other people left (Stephen, Alex, Cokehead, Kevin).

The only possible way this season could be worse than Season 5 would be if Alex won. Even in a poor season, Hosea winning was a fucking joke.benjipwns said:I still say Sefan got bored and gave up. And that either it or season two is the worst season. (Until now?!?)

at least she seems to have a specialty (grilled meat)diamondstar said:That is how I feel about Amanda.. She always seems like she doesn't know shit and just throws stuff together but still manages to stick around. I guess I just never got over the cooking with alcohol when serving to kids bit.

BertramCooper said:I'm just glad we don't have any more "Alpha Dog" or "Beast" bullshit from Kenny. The dude has talent and is an extremely hard worker, but he clearly needs to refine his cooking.
I don't disagree.xbhaskarx said:Okay, but he is not only far far more talented but also more interesting (even if you dislike him, at least he makes an impression) than Alex. Alex can't even be shitty in an entertaining way, even when he is stealing.
Tiffany is pretty good too. I would say she is better than at least one of those threegimmmick said:It's going to be Ed, Kelly and Angelo in the finals.
I thought they stopped designing the place when they made the hostess make a dish too. I can't remember the exact reasons though.mYm|17| said:This wasn't true Restaurant Wars. They already had the concept of the place and all the stuff was there already.
Alex is a big bitch. I have no clue how he is still there
Retrocide said:The editing this season is off. First we have that whole stolen pea puree debacle. and now this. They focused way to much on Kenny vs Angelo and with weeks to go one of them has been eliminated. God help them if Angelo goes next week.
