I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
A few days ago I noticed a problem with my Toshiba 20AF44 TV that's pissing me off. Basically, the picture is horizontally too large, so that maybe 5%(total) of the image is off the screen. Problem is, I can't even adjust it in the 'hardcore' settings menu (the one you have to hold down the volume on the tv and press 9 on the remote to get to)...no matter what setting I set it at, 0 to 40 I think, it remains the same. It was set at 1 when I first looked at it after noticing the problem. The other settings, including vertical size, adjust normally.

I brought a 36" Toshiba tv too. When i play games in 60hz its vertically zoomed in abit and i miss out the stuff on the top part of the screen.

I rang the placei brought it from and they are sending a technician over. My screen isnt consistent either. If i bring up a table or scorebaord you can notice lines arent straight! I dont want this tv if it cant do fullscreen gaming. :lol

I bought a 32" Toshiba a few years ago, and the picture had a wavering one-inch black gap down one side when I had my playstation on. I had it replaced, and on the next one the black letterbox bars on movies weren't straight. I returned it and got a JVC instead.

I've since heard quite a few people complaining about distorted pictures on Toshiba TVs, so I think problems like this are just inherent in their design.

I get the gaps on the sides too but they are only afew mm big and near the corners rather than all way. I can stretch the image and at a quick glance you'd think nothing is wrong with the tv. The screen just isnt geometricaly correct. Lots of little errors all over the screen. Looking closely at channel logos reveals this too. :lol

Really regret getting Toshiba. Their options are abit crappy too. They dont have good zoom in options. I remember saying good tv's should have it and this doesnt :( There isnt much choice in the UK for CRT's with progressive scan capability.
