Totally real Call of Duty 3 Wii screen (wow)

That COD Wii is NOT fake. See below, same general area.

The one Wario posted just has the brightness/gamma turned up, that's it.

Same gun, same interface, same muzzle flashes. Same damn game. It's just an extra ugly-ass screen.

Ah, I thought this thread found that it was fake...

Yeah, CoD3 Wii is ugly.

In light of recent events, I stand by my original assessment. Shitty screen and a shitty effort. What's with the vomit-inducing artifacting on the original picture, though? I've never seen a screenshot look so.... bad, not even taking account the actual game.

The guy on the left makes it fun.

Hm. Why was the brightness changed in the first place?
To be honest, the only reason I posted that was because someone from Gamefaqs said that the screen is from COD2: BRO. I thought that he had actually played the game. I guess he was just talking out of his ass. >_>
But seriously, Dreamcast is capable of more than this... What the hell Activision...

Nboys:

It doesn't look that bad, better than PS2 lolomgz

Screen could be a fake

Nboys:

Looks like shit, edited PS2 screenshot

Ah no, looks like it's not a fake

Nboys:

The game looks like shit on every console so this is okay, it's going to be the best playing version anyways

Almost on the same retarded level as the NFS: Carbon Wii thread.

Someone took the original darker screen and decided to turn up the gamma (I guess cause they wanted to see more of the details) and save it as a below average quality JPG. Instant shit.

Here was a perfectly fine looking Xbox 360 shot of COD2, destroyed the same way:

? It looks better than before, a lot better than first gen GC games. But considering what factor 5 had done with the gc this is underwhelming.

*scratches head*

Are they, like, working on the first PS2 dev kits ever sent out for this game or something? Wii games, CAN and SHOULD look so many times better than this. ****, look at Rayman or Mario or Metroid when you're trying to develope your Wii games people.

I'd buy it with some nifty wiimoting exp, but only under $20.

Sorry kids, when we've seen games on the GC looking better than that come out two years ago, we have problems. Let's tighten up the graphics on level 3, k?

Is the real purpose of the Wii to play the type of games that Nintendo didn't have in mind when designing the console?

Buying the system to play games like this is like purcashing a Nintendo DS to play games like this.

seriously... this is a crap screen shot in every sense. awful compression. awful textures. awful angle. awful contrast.

does it represent what the Wii is capable of? hells no. as many have said this'd be a crap looking PS2 game. but of course we have to have the 'i said wow' jokes. because a half assed port is the best benchmark for the power of a system right?

i wouldn't expect the game to look amazing... but it'd be nice if more developers tried to make nice looking Wii games... and not, you know, stuff that the cube would have been embarrassed by.

fixed. 360 hasn't made me say WOW too many times....you anwered your own complaint with the word "developers".

Two new screens, courtesy Blakguy. Fortunately, the graphics seem to have improved quite a bit.

Ok, what the **** is going on with Wii's hardware? This would be an embarrassment for even a first-gen PS2 game.

Well that's the point innit? That a screenshot this shit has nothing to do with weaker hardware & everything to do with developer laziness/ineptitude OR screenshots coming out way too early in the dev cycle. People who judge the wii's power by these sub-PS2 quality screenshots really don't get it.

Found a couple more shots (though still filled with compression artifacts)

Textures on that bridge look a bit better than the other shots, so there is some hope.

Its a sad day when MOH: Frontline for PS2 looks better than a Wii launch game.

These are terrible, but I don't see how anyone could possibly think it's a hardware issue. If they would be an embarrassment for first gen PS2 games, then obviously they're significantly under par for GameCube games, which means there really isn't any way they could be used as a barometer for Wii hardware.
