I was skeptical but it still has that magic! I got sucked in by that clip...Im mad that I cant see how they got out of that situation :(

I loved the first movie. Will probably buy it for my sisters and watch it with them :D

No theater for me though. The ticket prices are just crazy nowadays.

Cool, I'll avoid it then.
My dad and I think it's better than TS. Most people think it's at least on the same level.

Here's a neat idea - rent it and decide for yourself? If nothing else it's an enjoyable movie, better than the original or not. It's certainly not worse.

Interesting TS2 story:

I once read a report where some lady made a mathematical equation to find the perfect movie. It had to with with what % of the movie was romantic, comedic, action, drama, etc. I don't remember the specifics, it was really weird, but the way she described it made sense. Anyway, while no movie got a 100% rating as a perfect film, the one that came the closest was Toy Story 2.

Edit: Holy shit, I found the story. She was a British school teacher and she reviewed dozens and dozens of the top grossing films in the UK over 10 years to try and find this "formula".

I thought Lasseter was directing this? I guess with his new role he doesn't have the time.
They also might have ripped it out of his cold, dead hands after what happened with Cars.

just kidding, I like Cars. Of course, even "liking" a Pixar film can be considered a failure, given how much I love almost all the other ones.

Cars and A Bug's Life are the only two films I'd consider mediocre from Pixar. Kind of surprised that they're making a sequel to Cars.

This is pretty much exactly on point, yep. I'm not Finding Nemo's hugest fan either, but it has its place in the Pixar legacy.

"Related merchandise, including scale models of several of the cars, broke records for retail sales of merchandise based on a Disney/Pixar film, with an estimated 5 billion in sales."

You shouldn't. You should see it.
I think the first one is good, but not as good as a lot of more recent Pixar films. If the second really isn't as good as the first, why bother? I have over 200 movies on my netflix que and I'm pretty busy. Not gonna waste a slot if this Jessie character is such a deal breaker.
I was only interested cuz I heard it was better. If I see the second I'll just get roped into the 3rd:lol

Wait, if the answer was that it's just as good as the first, wouldn't that mean you watch it, especially considering some do consider it better than the first?

damn, what a cruel teaser. yes, need moooooore.

also, it's been a while since i've seen toy story, but why where the names of Buzz, Rex and Jesse drawn on the side of the wall?
