Trailer For JACKASS PRESENTS: BAD GRANDPA

So did they just go through Guitar Hero 2&3 for the music in this trailer?

But tbh, I laughed, loud, several times.

I miss watching Jackass saturday nights with my friends. :(

I actually really disliked the grampa skits from the previous films (I never like it when they go out in public and get reactions from other, unsuspecting people), but I have to admit, it looked a lot better than I thought it would.

I like bad grandpa a lot so watching this trailer I was a bit excited but I was preparing to be let down.. Hooowever it looks pretty brilliant, that pageant stuff is going to be talked about for years. The dollar bills ... Holy shit.. Love the plastic chair kick, nice homage to classic Jackass interviews.

That's what hipsters say.

Dang, called out.

I'm just saying like... It wouldn't feel the same without him. I grew up watching Jackass and Ryan in particular was my favorite member of the crew and his death to me felt like a new Jackass would never be able to live up to their old stuff.

I loved the bad grandpa stuff in the Jackass movies but I wasn't sure a whole movie about it would be a good idea but this actually looks really funny.

In first Jackass movie when he keeps stealing stuff from the store and refuses to quit

"Is that how you treat an old man"

This part made me shed tears.

But as an event guy, the amateur-hour pipe and drape kinda takes me out of it a little. They couldn't pin that shit at all? The pipes are completely visible.

Well, I laughed.... So, I guess I'm interested.

Still though, the Grandpa bits were always my least favorite parts of the Jackass movies. And the fact they're doing a narrative is weird. Also, is it just Knoxville? I mean, he IS Jackass, but it'll be odd if there's none of the other guys for him to interact with.

I wasn't a big fan of the Bad Grandpa skits (apparently a popular opinion)

..but that was hilarious.

I hope we get a legit Jackass 4 at some point though. The movies are such gold.

i actually prefer something like this this to jackass 4... the movies were becoming to be all about the dumb stunts, almost no candid camera stuff.

i don't know if making a movie about the grandpa is the best way to go though. trailer was kind of tepid except for the childern's pageant. but i'm hopeful

Eh ... they're saying real events and real reactions? I hope that funeral thing was staged because that would be fucked up. What do you say afterwards oh hey it was just a prank, we'll carry grandma back in her casket and everybody laughs?

It's very likely the pageant was a complete sham organized by the producers.

That wasn't a real body. I mean, I don't know the legality of using a corpse for movies, but I'm pretty damn sure it's frowned upon. It's either a stunt woman or a dummy. I'm assuming that the idea is setting up events and somehow getting bystanders to show up and react. Like that rocket at the grocery store. Obviously, they couldn't legally or safely do that without a lot of people knowing it was going to happen. I don't know how you do that for a funeral or wedding. Maybe tell people that nobody showed up to the funeral and they need people to fill seats so it won't look as bad? I don't know.

I'm not entirely convinced in the earnestness of the premise, despite Jackass seeming pretty much genuine up until this point, most of the stuff in that trailer looked staged, but the half narrative/half Jackass format makes it hard to know where the line is supposed to be.

Also, Viva La Bam was staged as shit, so who knows?

I was interested until I saw that they are faking a good deal of the scenes.

I live close to the Penguin Restaurant they show. There is not, nor has there ever been a giant Penguin in front of it.

Awesome can't wait. While Ryan will always be missed, there is no reason Jackass spinoffs like this or the Wildboys can't continue.

Hell when the time is right and they can get everyone together maybe we'll see a Jackass 4.

My only concern is there will be to many scripted moments which brought down Bruno as opposed to Borat which had a few scripted moments but was mostly captured live.
