Trails of Cold Steel battle trailer

Not a huge fan of the high school theme. I've watched too many high school anime and I'm starting to regret it. Type-0 was still bearable due to the unique uniforms and more mature settings.

They graduate at the end of Cold Steel 1. The second game is not high school.

That being said, they don't just stay there the entire time. They travel around and go to different places. It's just that the military academy is the 'hub' I'd say.

Ya know thinking about it out of the 4 school setting games I've played this game probably has the least unique uniforms and character heads. Valkyria chronicles 2 would be first but they dont fight in theirs. I dont mind school settings so long as its handeled ok.

Damn the hype made me forget how stiff animation looked lol, i can't wait for my LE to arrive though.

Dem graphics doe.

It's a Vita game

For a vita game and it's ps3 port, it's actually on the better looking side of things. It could look much worse compared to many other vita games out there.
Nah it's not that good even for a vita game, models are not bad, but animations are really stiff.
When it was released in Japan it was probably good looking compared to competitors that didn't even try to push the hardware, but now between jrpgs like

Digimon

and others i would say that japanese developers are doing a good job with graphics in Vita games.

The guy with the glasses (Ignas?) and the guy with the spear are pretty cool. 2H sword wielding women are always a good thing. I'm guessing the younger girl is some kind or robot?

None of the characters seem immediately annoying the way Joshua and Estelle were, which makes me excited. Hopefully the game arrives on Tuesday!

Aww.. no weapon like Tita use. She's the best in FC and SC cause of the shell launcher.

Already put some money into PSN wallet. Will buy immediately next Tuesday.

Really nice, a bit dissapointed it's PS3 and Vita only.. guess I'll go pickup a Vita TV. Wished it was PS4 or Steam like the other two trails game.

And now time to go finish Trails 1, buy SC and beat it too.

Any major differences between PS3 and Vita version ?

besides very slight graphic differences, (Ps3 looks a bit better) nope.

No PS4/Steam/GOG release? Is that definite? The other Trails games were out on PC so I thought this will come too? I still have a PS3 but I don't want to buy it if they announce a port for Steam in a couple of weeks.

Game looks great so it's on my PS3 wishlist for now. But first I have to finish FF7 on the PS4^^

Cold Steel doesn't have a PC or PS4 version even in Japan yet and since Falcom is pushing so hard to get I & II out in the wast before PS3 and Vita die, it's doubtful they're in the cards. XSEED of course doesn't have the staff to port it themselves. Cold Steel III will very likely have a PS4 version, but I'm not sure if platform stuff has come out about that yet.
