He's Cobra Commander? D:

whats the song they are using for the fast and furious commercial? its pretty rad.

They're keeping Raimi and Maguire for SM4, all they did was get a different writer.

I knew they got a different writer but I didn't know Raimi and Maguire were staying.

This must mean Spider-Man 3 is the greatest movie of all time.

just because I like movies that you despise doesn't mean that I think everything is great or acceptable =(

Trailer was painful, but that song is great.

Ha, actually I was just pointing out that we have like completely opposite tastes in movies.

Kirsten Dunst is coming back too.

fuck, I was hoping rehab would keep her away.

One of the best sci-fi films ever made. You probably hate it; it's a trick question.

One of the best films ever made, period. There we go---everyone loves the Matrix!

On a totally different note, can I get a screencap of Olivia Wilde from the Year One tv spot?

did you really compare the joker to cobra commander?

what the hell?

My point was obviously that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, and that we've already seen a "pretty boy" actor cast in a comic book villain role and excel despite getting a lot of hate for it beforehand. Good actors make roles their own. Anyone hating on Gordon-Levitt prematurely as Cobra Commander is at risk for some delicious crow-eating, much like that Ledger thread.

What we making a list of stars who started in horror?

Brad Pitt
George Clooney
Holly Hunter
Tom Hanks
Paul Rudd
Jennifer Aniston

And that's pretty much all I can think of, out of the one not posted already.

I know Paul Rudd was in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. But George Clooney and Tom Hanks? Had no idea. Same with Pitt. Aniston was in Leprechaun I think.

Clooney was in Return To Horror High. Pitt was in Cutting Class. Tom Hanks played in He Knows You're Alone.

Man, 3-D is so fucked. It's going to be the Flop Of The Night for sure. When 98% of people watching don't have the glasses and are just like "Everything looks fucked up." What a colossally dumb way to introduce this to Earth.

I know! Like seriously. Best. Premise. Ever. How in the hell did Michael Bay screw it up so bad?

Transformers 2 - lolz
Star Trek - Some nice visuals! Otherwise... no hope for this movie.
Year One - Michael Cera proves his range as an actor! Mehhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Land of the Lost - Hmm Will Ferrel... blech, but Anna Friel!!! and it looks like it *could* be fun.
Up - Pure awesome.
GI Joe - Looks so bad that it could be good.
Fast and Furious - Ahahaha. Diesel is desperate. Lol at the horrible flaming CGI truck.

HES BETTER THAN U!

i actually think he'd be a cool guy to hang with.... untill he steals your woman and beats you in Dungeons & Dragons..... that is

I don't think there was really anything half-assed about the Transformers movie, seems like they made the movie they set out to make.

Have you laid out the framework for what you consider would have made a significantly better Transformers movie? I've seen only whinging from you, but I could have missed where you explained how to make an Oscar-caliber Transformers movie.

What do you want me to do, write a screen play?

Work your way up to it. A basic outline of Transformers ticket to the Oscars would suffice for now.

Edit: \/\/ Really? For that? ^^^

G.I. Joe looked cooler than I expected. I will see it for the ninjas.

Transformers looked just like the first one: giant heaps of scrap metal flying around with the camera too close and shaky to understand what's going on.

Up... I dunno, just doesn't grab my attention like most Pixar movies.

Star Trek looked cool.

Year One looked like shit. Which I don't get. I like Jack Black, Cera, Cross, and Rudd... but it didn't even make me chuckle.

What are you rambling on about?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of the best young actors around these days.
Check him on Brick or The Lookout, he is fantastic in both of them (and they are great films to boot).

Heath Ledger on the other hand, well, one should not speak ill of the dead.

we are truly brothers in our love of gordon-levitt

. . . but are you being for real with what you're implying with that heath ledger comment?

any links that havne't been taken down or are open to non-US? I'd like to see the monsters Vs Aliens trailer in 3D (I have some glasses on the way for chuck so I can use them again)

So Levitt's the dude ninja flipping over exploding cars? That's....a change of pace for him:lol

Also, NO TERMINATOR TRAILER -_-

Levitt is actually Cobra Commander. The dude flipping over cars is Snake Eyes who is played by Ray Park (Darth Maul from Star Wars Episode 1)

Naw, I don't know shit about G.I. Joe. I'm still kind of shocked they're making a movie out of it:lol

That's Cobra Commander. He has been featured with different masks in various iterations of G.I. Joe.

OK, Transformers 2 looks promising: all the good stuff I liked in part 1, all the stuff I missed in part 1, it's getting crammed in this movie.
Now, GI Joe.... WTF??? I couldn't believe their actually filming this and I can't judge if it's gonna be shite or not from the trailer.

Owh and F&F4....
