Transformers War for Cybertron Multiplayer Demo on XBLM Now

Really digging this. There's the airborn craziness of halo but amped up, hulking bodies of Gears and a little bit of tank warfare. Definitely grabbing this day one.

whoa this game sneak up on me!! had fun playing the MP.. set up totally looks like CoD which is a good thing.

day 1

Just did 2 hours on this and I utterly love it! Ive had a great big smile on my face the whole time. The controls are excellent, transforming works brilliantly and the vehicles aren't overpowered (something I was worried about). Cant wait till the full game hits so I can try out the other 2 classes along with all the extra abilities you get while levelling up. It probably helps that I appear to be half decent at it as I seem to be top or there a bouts on the scoreboard. I even went 12-0 when I joined a friend mid-match :D

On a side note, respawning has been handled really well as it always seems to put you away from danger. I think I got 'spawn killed' just twice in a dozen or so games of TDM.

damn this game was completely off my radar until all these positive impressions!

was looking it up at ign and escalation mode sounds awesome and they me be right that this could be this years arkham aslyum

Is this game in some way comparable to the absolute awesomeness of WARHAWK? Does the gameplay appear to be deep enough in term of strategy and skill required?

I don't usually pimp my own shit here, but I played the full multiplayer mode a few weeks ago:

It's pretty awesome. Like, way more awesome than I expected, even if it's dumb that half the classes are locked in the demo.

Just wanted to say that I feel like an idiot for just now figuring out what your username means. Even after Anthony saying it at the end of each RebelFM.

As someone who only cared about SP and didn't expect to play MP more than a day, this was incredibly fun and I can see myself losing a couple weeks to MP when the game comes out. Also screw these assholes running around in classic Devastator color schemes. I want that!

The multiplayer is extremely fun.

If you see a little sports car running around, check your ass because you're going to get shived.:lol

Ugh

Hell of a lot of fun, but it has goddam unreadable text for SDTV's. Fuck I'm so sick of this shit

Not buying :/ This kills me too since I absolutely love Transformers

You could always play it on a computer monitor. They're like $5 at Goodwill.

I have the hookups to connect it to my computer monitor, but for some reason the sound doesn't work. Looks great, but not worth sacrificing all of the audio

So yeah ...this shit is fantastical

Strikes a great balance in that robots in disguise are hard to take down ala Halo-style but your not committed to a fight as your can instantly flee and come back later from another angle. Hell I went minutes at a time without dieing but racking up the kills due to guerilla tactics.

Abstract art is also a very welcome change. Feel like I could play it in front of my son

At this point the most difficult thing is disassociating it from Poopy BayFormers. Shouldn't be to hard though...

Hmm... If you have a receiver you can use an optical cable. Otherwise, there's an 2xRCA female->1/8 (headphone) female cable at Radioshack you can use to hook it up to PC speakers. My personal recommendation is to get an A440 Mixamp and a good pair of headphones (like the AD700s) for surround sound.

Very intrigued by reading this thread, sounds like it might play out like a third person Shogo successor if the claims of gunplay, speed and transformations are concerned. High hopes, but I look forward to checking it out later.

I will grab this when I get home from work. I was hoping for a single player demo, but I guess I will have to settle for this.

Is it just me, or do people really not like objective matches these days. So many in TDM.

Less thinking, less teamwork. It's like a snapshot of America!

Takes a little getting use to transforming and staying mobile, and I keep getting connection error for the Conquest mode.

EDIT: DAMN this game is fun. Once everyone has the controls down/manuvering transformed mode and dashing, its amazing.

If the SP is just as fun, this will be the best Transformers game.

Nothing feels overpowered so far, close quarters combat feels pretty tense, and the framerate is pretty stable...aside from zooming in with the sniper. No music in MP except for "countdown" music near the end of the match.

If anything, the game feels like a nice combo of Shogo (except not an FPS), Virtual On, Gears, and Call of duty. Definitely making a playlist for this.

Oh and when you go invisible, once you shoot, it drops.

The Transformers Demo was announced to be exclusive and its not because Sony require the devs to pay hosting its because Activision is getting fed money by M$
Keep fighting the losing fight :lol

Anyway, this game is pretty addicting. Wasn't really on my radar before, but it sure as hell is now.

UNEXPECTED! And Before E3! Very surpised!

For people complaining about non-PS3 demo... Sony announce a while back that they'd make developers pay for bandwidth usage on downloads. So you can't really blame them for not releasing every single little free thing on PSN, especially not the sizeable stuff.

PSN is free for users becaus Sony passes on the cost of things onto the developers. XBLA is paid because the cost to developers is offset by our payments.

Did not know this.

Played a few matches. I am really liking it will be the full game. Playing this game while listening to the Transformers the movie soundtrack is so badass. Especially listening to The Touch while shooting everyone.

I kinda want to upload the tracks I have, because everyone is missing out if they dont do this :D

Unicron's theme came on when we were getting decimated in Conquest, then Pursuit came on when we started to come back and won the match.

Oh wow. I thought the game was semi-alright when I played TDM.
But Conquest is fantastic.

And I got level 3 in the first match, too. It was great.

Best scene and I wish I had a video but I still have to explain it:
This is looking from B onto the room with the window that connects the (B) point with either (A) or (C)
r4Xf5.png

I was fighting one guy alone at A (in the pic) but neither one of us died and I had only a sliver of health left and I presume he had too, so he retreated.
So I did a double jump dash into the window at B and backstabbed him because he was looking at the A entrance.

I didn't know you can get through that window, but you can as a scout. It was great! :-D

Whirlwind is the best. I love seeing a room full of people and just going into to whirlwind mode and seeing all the numbers pop up.

Yeah i'm having more fun as a scout. Nothing beats being chased down by 2 soldiers after helping cap a node, then barrel rolling out a window and blasting off :lol

I hate multiplayer only demos. why do companies do this? I get to play a deathmatch with generic robots and no characters. so my first fucking impression of the game is that it's generic and mindless.

I saw demo. I got excited. I saw "multiplayer demo". I died a little inside.

Play Conquest mode. Hopefully that'll change your mind. MP mode is tons of fun and the classic movie soundtrack fits perfectly.

I'm thinking that it's because they want to put their best foot forward.

Im pretty sure thats not the reason. Sony is very 'open' as they say(open platform) and arent as strict as MS. Thats why custom soundtracks/picture-snap features arent supported by most devs as Sony doesnt force them to included them so more or less Demos fall into the same thing. Demos are not mandatory(something XBL always has) so most of the time, devs on PS3 skip demo/trial versions.
