Trauma Team hitting US Wii U eShop tomorrow (12/3)

Atlus is my favourite dev and I have yet to play a Trauma game. Today shall allow me to repent for my sins.
Same

I'll pick up an eShop card tomorrow morning with Xenoblade X at BB if FS doesn't ship later this evening. if it does ship uhh I'll go tomorrow anyway lol

Dreams shattered :(

Whats stopping to bring it to euope?

Whattttt :( Why?

Why oh why can't we have this in EU :( It's bad enough we don't have a Trauma game that for the Wii U when it makes sooooo much sense (a 3DS entry would also suffice) but come on, at least give us the last game :(
It never released to Europe so there's no non-English/Japanese translations.

I have some
expected
bad news u____u

Look, I am really sorry about the European that ran over your CEO's dog, or whatever caused the massive grudge against us EU plebs, but the English language only market exists here, and they just recently had a reform of the EU rating agencies, so you can skip the USK shit and everything. If you need some marketing, I will set up some street teams. Set up a pre-order campaign to gauge interest. Just throw us a bone man...

... SMTIV Final in 2020 please at least.

Buying just for more Gabriel Cunningham. <3

Didn't stop Atlus from releasing Conception 2 or SMT 4 in Europe.
In fact, the only Atlus games I know of that were translated into at least German are Etrian Odyssey 1 and Catherine, even considering all the games not published by Atlus themselves, but by a European publisher.

That has never, ever stopped them before. At this point there either has to be something in the game that would prevent an EU release, or Atlus has a malicious hatred of Europe.

Either way, you lucky Americans now have another chance to buy the 2nd best Wii game. Don't slip up and ignore it again like ya'll did last time.

It was (is) my first Trauma Center game and I didn't have any trouble. The story isn't connected to the other games in any significant way I know of.

There's a bunch of references to older games, but it's not a major issue for new players.

Awesome game. As a medical student, I can vouch that the diagnostic sections w/ anime House are surprisingly medically accurate in terms of symptoms, lab values, and imaging. The case involving
multiple endocrine neoplasia
was really cool.

It really is impressive how much homework the team did in that regard. It's about as realistic a portrayal of medicine can be that involves supernatural cell phone calls and alien mega viruses. My dad's an MD too and he had a real kick watching me and my sister play coop

Doesnt stop them for releasing new atlus games completly in english without pal 5.

Im playing Persona 4 Dancing all Night right now for example. And thats only in english.

I known under the knife was released in spanish (by Nintendo), same with Catherine (deep silver). But Atlus doesnt usually translate the games in europe.

Earthbound and other games in the eshop also didnt release in europe, and the american versions were released in english only on the european e-shop. Nothing is stopping atlus for doing the same here.

Or you know, they can actually explain why the cant release it here. It just feels they give zero damns about europe. It reminds me of NoE just before they really started translating pal 5 druing the mid life of N64. Funny, because they release super anime games, and europe is big market for that.
Its going to be even more funny when a super big JRPG like Persona 5 doesnt release in pal5, when the thing is not niche anymore. That the easiest point they will ever have to translate an atlus game into pal5 and be a safe commercial succes in european markets, and im sure they are going to blew it.

What was it?

5/11/2010: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Skate 3, Lost Planet 2
5/18/2010: Split Second, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption, Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow, Trauma Team
5/23/2010: Super Mario Galaxy 2
5/25/2010: Blur, ModNation Racers, UFC 2010

Game was pretty much doomed from the start.

I really love the Trauma series. Was a ton of fun playing co-op with the wife as well when they introduced it to the series. While Trauma Team wasn't perfect with the co-op, I'd still buy a new one in a heartbeat. It was a really great game.

If I recall correctly, Atlus also released New Blood against the original Mario Galaxy.

I don't know what they were thinking.

Looking at all the other Atlus games released in Europe, this isn't an issue. You don't have to have the PAL5 languages to get released in Europe either.

So what is the actual reason Europe cannot get it?

Well that sucks then, I liked the trauma games on the DS so was looking forward to picking this up soon. Guess it will have to wait with my funds =/

It's worth buying a remote + nunchuk just for this game. Besides being a fantastic game, it's one of those rare games that really makes use of the Wii's unique control scheme. The whole series has much better controls on the Wii than the DS IMO (and it's not a bad controlling game on the DS).

My sister got into a car accident 2 weeks ago and her wrist and leg are broken so I've been looking for Wii games that she can play with 1 hand. Does this game require a nunchuk or can she play it with 1 hand just fine?

I could never finish the other Wii TC games due to my colorblindness making certain colors hard to distinguish between, making those "inject the matching color" bits impossible. :(
