Mario Kart Wii had Battle mode online.

The Switch negativity today on GAF is absolutely amazing.

Why are some people assuming that battle mode in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe won't be playable online? Did you guys not remember that Mario Kart 8 had online battle mode?

I suspected as much, but genuinely couldn't remember as I played MK8 battle mode 3 times at launch and then stuck to racing.

It was a conference, so I don't expect them to delve into all they have like Indy stuff and what not, Its just crazy how little is launching coming from Nintendo. They should have delayed Wii U Zelda like they did TP for GC. They also needed maybe 1 more thing that was big. Im happy about the entire years list because there is plenty for me to play as a PC gamer. But damn Zelda is the only big hitter at launch. We could have at least got something big within a months time, but we will be waiting for an enhanced port for weeks and then Arms which is not a 60 dollar game until they show the content more. Again though we will be waiting. Again, I like the year end list but damn there isn't much to start.

Doesn't look like it. But we saw what, at least four battle arenas? There isn't zero new content here. I don't blame people who don't want to double dip, but $60 for all this content is fair, I'd say.

I sold my Wii U already. I'm happy to pay $60 to get Mario Kart 8 back with extra modes and higher resolution plus kickstand tablet play.

-ARMS looks REALLY FUN. The streaming lag arrives...
-They take a look at the hardware, but the lag made it impossible to follow (they will upload that section on youtube soon).
-Reggie fixed the lag and tried to sell us 120$ of plastic sword.
-Splatoon 2 is as good as the first one.
-Launch day Bomberman. Classic bomberman up to 8 players... But seems a bit bland.
-Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. 1080p/60hz gameplay. New characters and new battle mode items, modes and arenas.

If you have positive things to say, say them. There's also plenty to criticize.
