The wording above sounds as ominous as it did when it was first announced.

Shinobi said the next Deus Ex will make fans of Human Revolution happy. I'm hoping that this is just a spinoff and the real Sleeping Dogs sequel is still in development.

Fingers crossed.

For what it's worth, Nirolak and Shinobi have said that DX will be more of a traditional game, so that's a big relief right there.

Just Cause 3 is the main worry at the moment. Seems that game might be going in a similar direction to this.

Let's hope JC3 doesn't fall prey to this worrying trend.

The XP pop-up is the only thing that looks bad to me. Otherwise, like you said this looks like Sleeping Dogs (with melee weapon throws). And I'm not going to make a judgement about the graphics from a blurry gif.

If this is the game they made, there was never going to be a Sleeping Dogs 2 anyway. Not much sense in raging over it.

GAF sure seems to hate online multiplayer and f2p, I feel like I don't belong here lol. Some of the most engaging games are f2p and the model is only going to become more innovative and successful. Planetside 2, DOTA 2, Ghost Recon Phantoms, Path of Exile, Firefall, etc. These games are of good quality and offer an experience that sp games can't. I don't know, I like playing against real human intelligence and I read books when I want a story.

The games' industry so far this year has been letdown after letdown for me (Titanfall, Watchdogs, Destiny). I happened to finally play my XBL Gold Sleeping Dogs, and it was the one game that wasn't a letdown in some fashion (maybe from low expectations). Now UFG goes and makes an announcement like this. Way to know your fans.

Nexon being involved really will just probably prove to be disappointing altogether.

I would gladly pay 60$ for a proper just cause 3 or SD 2 even it is basically the same level as the previous game but on new consoles and prettier.

So, the Japanese branch of Square Enix has a great TGS and the western branch is pissing gamers off? What an odd reversal of the prior generation. I thought Sleeping Dogs was a bad game, so I can't say I'm too excited about this. I wish them the best of luck making a good game with the foundation of Sleeping Dogs. ModNation Racers is by far their best game; wish we'd get a PS4 sequel.


Edit: What if Tomb Raider was gonna be an online game and MS was like, here, have all this money to not do that and make it Xbox exclusive for a period of time?
