Trials Evolution: Gold Edition limited beta launches tomorrow, hurry and sign up!

Got three of my top spots back from you guys. If they get taken again, not sure how much I can improve. There's mistakes I made with them all, but I'd be hard pressed to get everything perfect.

Do you by chance have a 660ti? Because anything beyond 306.97 would give me real instability in some games. *knock on wood*, I think I've finally addressed the issue of certain games crashing: I went into the Nvidia panel - (Global) 3D settings - Power Management - Prefer Maximum Performance. GPU still idles down when not gaming, but it seems to have put an end to the broken drivers for me. Not sure what card you have, so it's a long shot. Just that I know this has been plaguing some games (including this game when I first booted it up) and I think I may have finally ghetto fixed it.
GeForce 9800 GTX+ :( I'll try changing that setting in the video drivers, thanks.

It's strange, it doesn't seem to be a very demanding game, and I can run Max Payne 3 and Hitman Absolution without problems on 1920x1080 (the latter with most everything on low, but it still runs fine).

This year I wanna build a new rig.

Added.

Best feature of Trials for PC is being able to remove the God-awful music file from the game's system files. Never have to hear that start up music again.

Game's gonna be the end of me when it releases. I was so close to getting Dammed done with no crashes, but I kept getting screwed by hitting reset instead of brake. So I remapped things. Then I did it perfectly, nailed the final jump, landed at the perfect angle, and even though my thumb was embedded into the gas, my engine never cut back in and I helplessly watches as he rolled down the beam and got a crash. Had to quit. My nerves were shot. Plus, I'm sure everything will get reset again.

"thumb on the gas"...

Are you using a face button for gas? You should REALLY REALLY learn to play Trials with the trigger as gas. Otherwise, the later Hard and Extreme tracks will be near impossible.

I started that way, but switched to hard pebbles buttons when I thought it was more consistent. Considering my thumb isn't appreciative of hard pebbles buttons jammed into the flesh, this is a better way to go anyways. I'll make the switch back.

All the PC gamers playing this without analog sticks and triggers are so fucked.

I was using the d-pad and buttons (not because I like either, but because it had the most rapid response). Last I checked, I was at the top of most of my friends list. But I can see where these are probably some of the easier tracks (and honestly, I hate the buttons on the 360 pad anyways, so it's not like I consider it preferable anyways).

Why? People played Trials HD just fine on keyboards long before it came to 360
Those were dark times. Trials HD was a cakewalk compared to PC Trials 2. After beating T2, I was wondering why people thought Trials HD was even difficult. And T2 was hard for all the wrong reasons.

I'm surprised if some of the Extreme tracks are even physically possible with keyboard/non-analog controls. I'm assuming they are possible if they let you play that way but I can't even imagine...

I thought the same thing for some Trackmania courses but people can do incredible things with the arrow keys.

I am just playing Trials 2 SE on PC now and it is soo hard. I can't even beat the medium levels without mistakes. In comparison I beat all of Trials HD on Xbox 360 with "relative ease" (that is to say I beat it after many many hours of cursing :p).

BTW, anyone know when the game will be released (and if on Steam?). Also, is it still possible to get into the beta? Thanks

I meant Trials 2 SE sorry.
Trials HD was never on PC.

The mechanics have changed greatly since Trials 2. Pressure sensitive triggers are a must..

Unless they are redesigning it somehow.. which I imagine would be kinda bad as it was great on consoles.
