I will be heartbroken if that happens. Please, please don't let that happen...
Ending a successful book franchise can be messy. Why fans are outraged by Charlaine Harris's decision to wrap up the Sookie Stackhouse series.
Tangentially related, but the Wall Street Journal posted an article about Charlaine Harris's decision to wrap up the True Blood book series and the flak that her fanbase has been giving her. Might be some book related spoilers inside.

How many books are there?
13 I believe. I remember reading a few years ago that she was going to stop at 13. I've read all up to book 10.
- S6 poster via EW:
I kind of hope it's neither. Or if I had to choose one I'd hope Eric lives.
Eric/sookie will end up killing Bill. You heard it here first.Me too. If I had to choose between the two though, I'd choose Eric.
Is the face on the poster recognizable?
That was what I was thinking, too.It looks like a cross between Eric and Bill.
only 10 episodes?
Eagerly awaiting season 6...which is apparently right around the corner. I am guessing it is the end of the series.
It could be, but nothing is set in stone. The show is still very popular and it still makes a ton of money for HBO, so I wouldn't be surprised if we got one or two more seasons. I know that some of the recurring characters they're introducing this season have the options of becoming regulars in season 7, so that tells me that HBO is seriously considering at least one more season.
Well hello there.
I should do some pushups during my lunch break today.
Who's going to make the new thread for S6? We're less than two weeks away.
Would this be the first scripted HBO show to go past six seasons if that happens?
Dude's got the body of a Greek god. He must be swimming in a sea of chicks.![]()
Oh, and Paquin looks absolutely amazing here!!
Cool, that'll work. Just wanted to make sure we had someone on it.I think 3N16MA is doing it.

My girlfriend watched only seasons one and two so she and I are marathon-ing 3, 4, and 5. I already saw them all, and they're still awesome.
Season 4, Episode 11, still has the best kill in the entire series.
Eric is such a badass. A fucking Viking.
Alexander Skarsgard should really be a bigger star on the big screen. I'd love it if he became some type of badass side character in Thor 3 or something. Just too good.

According to Alan Ball, it's a 10-episode season because of economics and production was moved back to January to accomodate Paquin's maternity leave after giving birth in November.Er, I think she was pregnant during season 6. Wasn't that image I quoted from season 6?
Going to Comic-Con and hearing them boo Alan Ball was the most batshit insane experience I've witnessed.

But no, Paquin wasn't preggers again during season 6 production.
Why did they boo him? Was it because he was stepping down as showrunner?
