Republicans have a severe leadership vacuum right now. Who are their current political leaders? Trump? Cruz? Jeb? McCain? Kasich? Ryan? All on completely different pages.

W, a two term president, has zero political power in the party. Rudy and Newt are now "political correspondents" on cable news so their public recognition puts them near the same level as many of the above.

It doesn't feel like there are any up and comers either.
 
They know enough not to be confrontational. They'll coddle him like a toddler and discuss ways to deal with the mean bias media and the rigged election.

I don't get it, why did people want Trump to hold it together until right before the election?
I think it's better that every day from now till election is a new Trump fuck up, making Republicans feel more and more iffy about voting for him over a longer period of time.

Even in a reality where Trump wasn't a huge narcissist, it's too late for a pivot to change anything. The time to have started acting presidential was when he started his campaign. Not a little over THREE MONTHS before the voting begins.

You all should've called this dumpster fire out for what he was during the primaries.

I finally saw it!

There was a youtube ad against a republican woman running for Congress. Can't quite remember the name...last name Dory?

Well, it's exactly the ad I had been waiting to see. They put a bunch of quotes up next to her and compared them with Drumpf. She agrees with Drumpf on Immigration, abortion, etc. I feel like I've been waiting for that exact add since he got the nomination. Attack ads with no more content then to tie them to Drumpf and it looks effective.
 
I know exactly how this will turn out.

I guess people are worried that he might not actually last the whole 100 days from the convention to the election. More like 100 hours.

The man is a danger to the Republican party, the United States of America, and ultimately the world at large. Why would you want him to succeed at this point? What do you gain if you temporarily pull one over on the American populace and elect this nutjob? Are you going to be there each and every hour of the next 4 years to ensure he doesn't provoke an international crisis? Is scoring this one win for your "team" really so goddamn important that you'll not only sacrifice your integrity, but your future and the future of the country as well? Jesus Christ, how many red flags do you need before you realize that maybe this isn't a good idea?
 
The fact that this shit is happening at all is absolutely pathetic and proves that this madman should not be allowed anywhere near a position of governing ANYTHING.

I'm enjoying watching this disgusting party burn to the ground.
