Think of all the golden shower videos...Can't wait for this stupid fuck to get hacked.
Android zero day exploits sell for around $200K, which isn't particularly high (the same vendor I checked pays up to $1.5m for iOS exploits), suggesting they're not too hard to come by. How many do you think a well-funded government agency actively engaging in cyberattacks can afford?
And that's assuming he's using the latest version of Android and whatever manufacturer-added skin it's got on top isn't full of its own security holes.
I believe one of the biggest concerns is that he will use his unsecured Android phone for his work.
He's consistently shown that he's a stubborn and petty person, so it's not unfathomable to think that he'd use his day to day phone to answer e-mails and conduct government business. That's when hacking becomes a real issue. This is part of the reason Hillary was investigated over the course of her campaign.
But which do you think is more secure? The software the is used by billions everyday, is constantly under attack by well-funded advisers, is reviewed by hundreds of security researchers, has a bug bounty program, built by the best engineers in the world, and battle tested for over a decade, or the one some government security team built in a lab for 100 people. Even if they were the best goddam researchers in the world, there's no way they could overcome the amount of QA assurance that these sorts of public software have.
If he's just using it to Tweet, who cares? You think he's getting DM'd on Twitter by his comrades?
I mean.. his Tweets... are public.. it doesn't matter where he posts them from.
Seems like the issue is that he's even in possession of the phone at all?
Imagine if someone took over his device and tweeted for him. They could crash the stock market or start a nuclear war with a fake tweet.
Bet it's a Galaxy S3
This isn't really the same as the emails though. The emails that leaked from Hilary were classified, important information. But if all Trump is using the phone for is tweeting, which are public posts, then it's really not a big deal. However, if he has sensitive information on the phone as well, then I can see why it's a problem. Either way, it would probably be better to not use that phone just in case.

Has there been any updates with actual proof yet?

Republican Sen. Bob Corker says he's thrilled with the "unbelievable" access he's getting to Donald Trump, noting that the president-elect will answer his phone calls even when he doesn't know who's calling.

The only way to stop him.

and, according to people close to the transition, he has traded in his Android phone for a secure, encrypted device approved by the Secret Service with a new number that few people possess.
FYI the NYT originally reported the opposite:

This administration hasn't done anything to warrant us trusting anything they say officially.
That + the amount of leaking and "anonymous high level White House staffers" blabbing on the daily makes it more likely that he still has his android.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the US Government use Windows phones because they have better security controls than iOS and Android?

That's why I said it was probably better for him to stop using it.Uh... his personal phone... if he uses it for anything other than Twitter (he does), I guarantee there is information on that phone that any nation outside the US would like to know (if they don't already).
There is no decision making. He probably just thinks being the president means he's a king and can do whatever he wants, completely free of any and all consequences.I mean, is . . . is he trying to get impeached or removed from office? I just can't fathom the decision making at work here, or anywhere else in his policy movements thus far.

I assume (probably a bad idea) that the Android doesn't have actual sensitive classified information on it, i.e. he doesn't receive official communications on it, and that the security risk comes from the possibility that someone might hack the Android and tweet "War on with China, missiles fly at 5:00 AM."
They used to use this monstrosity, the Sectera Edge:

But that was way back around 2008. It was what Obama and Hillary refused to use. I think they have secure Android phones now.[/QUOTE]
Geez Louise, that looks like a Windows 98 phone.
