And if you asked me right now, I would say with certainty she would beat Trump. But there's an awful lot of time left, and how many of us thought Trump would still be standing?
There has been enough data showing trump as the republican front runner since fall. Just because some people didn't want it to be true didn't make it untrue

"Once the primaries start trump won't win anything"

"Once more people drop out he won't win anything"

"Once....."

He's now dead even in polls with Clinton

But yes, let's keep thinking national polls matter.

Yeah, his campaign is already broke, and he's really going to compete in the 2 most expensive media markets in the entire country. And is going to be relying on handouts from the RNC

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/trump-camp-concedes-its-low-on-money/article/2592501

Donald Trump's campaign has alerted Senate Republicans that he won't have much money to spend fending off attacks from Hillary Clinton over the next couple months.

The notice came when Paul Manafort, Trump's senior advisor, met with a group of Senate Republican chiefs of staff for lunch last week, sources familiar with the meeting told the Washington Examiner. The admission suggests that Trump will be far more dependent on the GOP brass for money than he has led voters to believe, but it's consistent with his reliance on the Republican National Committee to provide a ground game in battleground states.

"They know that they're not going to have enough money to be on TV in June and probably most of July, until they actually accept the nomination and get RNC funds, so they plan to just use earned media to compete on the airwaves," one GOP source familiar with Manafort's comments told the Examiner.

That's a far cry from Trump's public insistence that he signed a fundraising agreement with the RNC in order to help the party, not himself. "The RNC really wanted to do it, and I want to show good spirit," he said last week. "'Cause I was very happy to continue to go along the way I was."

Yes, him being the Republican nominee showed me a lot about what I hoped this country was not. Unfortunately, white nationalism si still a very big thing here.
Yeah, it's so sad and maddening. We're going to see the ugly truth even more clearly when the final vote tally/number comes for Trump. We'll see tens of millions of weak minded racists exist among us.

Kthulhu yr probably gonna want to edit that so it's less inflammatory

I just get so irritated sometimes. I see so many people here think people like him are 90% of Bernie supporters.

I really can't wait for this man to fucking lose and go into hiding. I've seen enough Trump shit to last me several lifetimes.

Trump go into hiding. Good one. He'll probably make a reality show about his campaign.

How do people make this leap?

Don't edit your "fuck you" and make it your reaction tame. If you'd read huelen's post you'd see why I made that post.

Also, before your edit, my post on neogaf wouldn't be strong enough to sway a single soul on what they wanted from their politicians.

I'll also remember to stay out of politic gaf. No wonder I don't participate in this bs.

Nowhere in my question did I imply a damn thing. It was a question. You should probably check that anger buddy.

huelen is unique on this forum in that she's gone from carson to bernie to trump

going down the road of trying to figure out what the christ is going on there makes the thread about her, so we try not to do it

In the sense that the RCP polling average shows him losing by 8.6 points, this is true.

Note that 8.6 points is past the theoretical point at which coattails would flip the House to Democratic.

Welp that's a fucking joke lol. PA? Every 4 years these morons think they have a shot there. CA and NY are just straight delusional. Trump is going to get stomped in the electoral college. He has no path. I do hope liberals keeps freaking out about him though. Stay scared and motivated to vote.

If you haven't seen them by now you haven't been looking. There are plenty of recent documentaries and whatnot before the rise of Trump that showed this country is still infested with these backwards dipshits.

Minnesota?

We haven't gone republican since Nixon vs. McGovern. Furthemore, the major republican base, the old, white evangelicals which live out in the northern//northwestern exurbs of the twin cities, absolutely hates Trump. IIRC, he finished 3rd here, behind Cruz and Rubio.

If Trump's path to the white house runs through Minnesota, he better just concede. Now.

Thank you for not jumping down my throat for a question about a post another poster made.

trump shares the same populist appeal that bernie sanders has. on policy they're on opposite sides of the spectrum. people who like sanders because he's an 'outsider' find that same appeal in trump, but they're not looking for substance - they're looking for hype.

The bolded is what has been carrying Trump.

That mindless hype, combined with a democratic split could easily hand Trump the election if the general comes down to Clinton v Sanders v Trump.

pigeon pls

the RCP average shows him losing by 1 point

which is probably gonna revert to 8.6 as soon as clinton's bump season gets here

Believe me, I know they've always been around, that they've never gone away. I was a victim of racists at one point even, so I know the pain of being hated for my ethnicity and nothing else.

This will hopefully serve as a wakeup call for some due to the sheer number of racists here.

He should also start dumping money into the various U.S. island territories. Those could be some important electoral college votes that Hillary is probably not even paying attention to at this point.

I overreacted. It was inappropriate and so I posted something tamer. I usually try to stay civil but I'm not Jesus.

I never said your post would sway a persons vote. I'm saying your post makes people think most Bernie voters are as uninformed as you, and that it pisses me off that people think that "Bernie lost. Guess I better vote Trump" when anyone who has heard the two speak know they have almost nothing in common.

I wouldn't call being down 4 points "Dead even" in polls; especially with the questionable Rasussen poll being Trump's largest lead.

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2016-general-election-trump-vs-clinton

And it's still not even June; Trump could gain or lose big in polling between now and November. It's a wild ride.

Trump winning the GOP nom WAS unprecedented in many ways. But the jump to the GE barely relates; Trump showed you don't need party backing or endorsements to win the GOP nom, he showed you can win a GOP nom while dragging the gutter of conspiracy theories and ignorance for your platform.

Those who shouted from mountaintops last fall that Trump WILL BE the winner ended up being right; but that isn't all that meaningful. They ended up being right because there's a huge rift between the GOP and their base; which some activelly discussed but most were just going by polls anyways. Polls that in the past didn't reflect a winner.

The endless repeating of that The Onion meme is kind of funny but Trump's win was pretty crazy and not easily predicted.. up until about January or so when IMO it became much me clear.

I do hope liberals keeps freaking out about him though. Stay scared and motivated to vote.

When trying to find a 'silver lining' to the never ending media coverage of this assclown this is what I keep coming back to. Liberals are infamous for apathy so with the help of the media pretending like he has a shot will encourage participation.

Regardless of that...if you'd looked at the post I questioned you'd see why I asked that.

I'd think you'd be more upset at the person who said they'd do just what I asked.

People thinking Trump will win NY because "he's popular in NY" is like thinking Bernie is winning the popular vote because he's more popular on Facebook.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I apologize if I came off condescending. I meant you as in people in general not you specifically. :-)

I didn't realize you we're being sarcastic. I thought you where in agreement.

Intelligence has nothing to do with it.

People aren't being fooled into voting for Donald Drumpf. They know what they want, and he's offering it to them.

idk i personally think most trump voters are pretty fucking stupid all around, doubly so for the "if bernie can't win then I'll vote trump" which completely ignores how utterly different those two candidates are.

Trump already has his path to the White House: Bernie. Bernie is going to get mad he didn't get the nom, run as a third-party candidate, Dems are going to fight amongst one another, and Trump will win.

Truly would be the darkest timeline. I don't like to think about it.

It's always amazing whenever discussion of red states and blue states come up because it exposes how ignorant many people are.

If Cali and NY are even close Hillary is probably down 20 points in the national race. And no that's not going to happen either. This is not a plan. This is Trump prioritizing being a blowhard over actual strategy.

I can totally see this happening.
That's really weird because the man himself already said he's not running third party.

Keep reaching for that rainbow!

I would not put it past many NYers(no matter how liberal) to vote for Trump just because he is seen as more of a NYer than Hillary.

I can totally see this happening.

I can't.

Why would Bernie make a third party run? He would have a 0% chance of winning. And even if he did. He'd probably end up getting votes from Bernie or Bust voter and people who would otherwise vote for Trump, instead of getting a chunk of Hillary's supporters.

Wait. This guy is wearing an "I heart I.C.E." button? He's down with La Migra? Sigh.

Anyways, to paraphrase the President, "Don't laugh. Vote." Make sure you're registered, make sure your people are registered. Transport people on Voting Day, if you can. Do what needs to be done.

This explains why both Hillary and Bernie each got more votes in the NY primaries than Trump. Wait.

If Trump's path to the white house runs through Minnesota, he better just concede. Now.

That's what I came here to say. If a Republican has a plan to election relied on winning Minnesota they basically have no chance. If a Republican won Minnesota it would be in a national landslide to the point where electoral math doesn't matter.

This explains why both Hillary and Bernie each got more votes in the NY primaries than Trump. Wait.
You're discounting the % of people who will be voting for Trump purely for the lulz.

I haven't calculated this scientifically, but based on a cursory glance at the Internet, this amounts to 100%.
