Never doubted this was happening. Zelda U is basically Zelda NX even if there is a U version coming out.
The UI needs work and so do the texures, music, game flow, horse-riding mechanics... There is a lot to polish if they feel like doing so... Also, flat icons FTW.

They work. Plug it in, Wii U formats it. It's not recommended to rely on them but hell it gives you more space for a game.
Well, let's hope there is proper Hero Mode, don't like it this far, although I heard good things about ALBW. Just throwing out objects as defining and traditional as fairies or hearts which also leave behind a ridiclous amount of empty jars is stupid. It also comes with annoying backtracking to buy Just lower the droprate and make enemies hit even harder and maybe faster. Some little reward for beating the games on Hero Mode would be nice, too.

My god it's actually happening. I love Twilight Princess but if they make some adjustments like item explanation overboard and give it an exceptional visual polish it could very well go right into my top ten. I think it already might be as it is, but damn, what a force it would be if they made it even better.

We shouldn't expect a lot of changes, really. This remake will get the same coating as in WW. A couple of changes to UI, revamped textures and few things here and there. That is the reason why they can pull off a remake in 7/8 months like they did with WW.
Asking for more than that will require more development resources.
You're probably going to have to settle for 1080/30 judging from Wind Waker HD

Yeah, but USB drives can only write data a certain number of times before they stop working, and playing a game with them (especially if the save file is there and the game autosaves a lot) can make them wear down fast, but they'll do in a pinch, and it'll likely work for a long time.
