Yeah, and that's the real tragedy. The second In Space is over, viewership will drop by half. Time Force will never get its day in the sun...

and RPM once more never appreciated

And hell I feel like viewership will drop right after MMPR

man I have such a newfound respect for power rangers now with watching this. As someone who hasn't really thought about this shit since I saw it when I was crazy young, this is kind of mindblowing to me:

does literally anything else do this?

im probably going to see the movie now
Beetleborgs, Masked Rider, VR Troopers for MMPR's contemporaries under Saban's name

then you got Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad and Ultraman Tiga for non-Saban stuff, and even non-Toei.

and more recently Kamen Rider Dragon Knight

actually looking back, there have been other Ultraman stuff that aired in US

gridman > superhuman samurai syber squad did something similar but had a much shorter run

also most or all the stock footage they used were battles inside the computer, so there was no random Tokyo Towers in the background of angel grove level weirdness

Awww sheeeit. TOMMY!

His name is GREAT SATAN

That fits haha. The show totally tries to edit it like Rita summons him, and he's a minion and shit, but it's super clear from the footage that he's some sort of allmighty evil force that gets shit done when his minion is failing.

That blue face dude in the sky is totally the main villain of the original show ain't he?

Yup, he was Great Satan there.

They probably weren't allowed to use this footage of his defeat due to the rating, so they just sort of wrote Lokar out over here.

I believe Tommy only showed up here because this was supposed to be the Finale/Season Finale of MMPR but it did so well they ordered new episodes.

Huh, I didn't know about this part. I've never actually seen this episode.

"You can't get rid of us!" Sure, Zack, keep saying that.

Zordon letting them choose to quit right the fuck out of nowhere.

Masked Rider, VR Troopers, Big Bad Beetleborgs. Basically all the shows Saban was making in the 90's.

More recently, there was Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

Yeah I'm probably out shortly after MMPR since that's when I was out as a kid. With that said maybe not since I never checked them out and this has been a lot of fun.

Goldar still not jobbing. Fights well in the Japanese footage, plus Cyclopsis was one of the cooler villains so far, even thought it's just Goldar in an evil zord.

Yeah Dai-Satan was the big bad and he gave Rita powers. He was beaten by

350

in the past but not before breaking it down into 3 smaller pieces (Megazord, Dragonzord and Titanus). He was actually killed by the Ultra Dragonzord in the finale, like his head exploded. He didn't in this though. He just escaped to never be heard from again.

It's weird. That might be THE #1 that annoys me with the MMPR. They just let that dude escape.

That episode always felt epic when I was a kid. Reading up on it now, it makes sense. That was the last episode produced and was meant to be the end of the MMPR era. But Fox ordered more episodes and they produced new battle footage for the rest of the season and season 2.
