The issue with Turbo is that Carranger is, for all intents and purposes, a parody. And they had to play it straight and serious and it just wasn't built for it. Bringing in new rangers was the hardest of all the series they did up to that point because there just wasn't room for them.

TJ was much needed but Adam and Tanya got the shaft absolutely. They were willing to work with Saban but we're jettisoned because they had to "send a message" to future actors.

I thought the shorter seasons now were because of Nickelodeon and how long seasons are on the channel. They want shorter seasons due to how they schedule shows, package them, etc. As a result you get the second season being called "Super".

they combined 2 series into one, one of which being the super sentai anniversary series. aside from not acknowledging they fact super megaforce rangers were pirates, it wasnt as much of a power ranger celebration as it should be. and for sentai teams that werent used for power rangers, they just shrugged their shoulders and just let it roll. no mention of what they are, or even a fake backstory
