I recently bought a used copy of Platinum on Amazon and I'm currently just after the first gym. I'll try to keep ahead of the stream so that I don't get spoiled, although by the looks of it, it doesn't seem like that will be very hard to do lol.

Well from my experience, DS emulators are pretty slow with Gen 4 pokemon games.

Gen 4 saving was atrocious compared to what we have in gen 6. First time saving in XY was literally an omg moment.
