Twitch Prime (Included with Amazon Prime)

Half of me loves Amazon for treating their customers very well with benefits like this.

Half of me is scared how massive and far-reaching this company is getting.

I don't use twitch very often or care about any of the benefits, but I do have prime,. Assuming the free sub still gives money to the streamer, I'm looking for a channel to subscribe to to help out a worthy streamer.

The problem is I'm a little neurotic. Looking for a channel that meets the following criteria:
1) Speaks in a quiet voice and doesn't just make noise incessantly.
2) Doesn't encourage chat spam with the stupid fucking take my energy garbage or emote spam. I guess some of it is unavoidable, but certainly no one that plays into this stuff.
3) Doesn't play sound effects or make a big deal when people donate.
4) Doesn't open gambling packs. This is a 100% dealbreaker, this is so disgusting.
5) Plays a variety of interesting games--not any of the major eSports. I like adventure games, puzzle games, mostly independent stuff, platformers, old games, especially weird stuff.
6) Seems to have some semblance of work-life balance
7) Appears to respect women and value kindness

Any suggestions?

I'd recommend LethalFrag. He really only does indies. Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy, FTL, Risk of Rain, Darkest Dungeon etc. And he gets really good at all of them. Like spending hundreds if not thousands of hours with the game.

He also had a successful Kickstarter to film playing and restoring pinball games. I think he has Adam's Family and Star Trek right now.

In his previous life he was a cook and does a "Cooking with Frag" segment where he cooks for the audience. It's literally a cooking show.

He has a youtube channel so you can see his past broadcasts and you can check the playlist to see the other things I mentioned.

He runs a tight ship with regards to chat (a lot like GAF tbh) and the chat is really positive. He doesn't do the obnoxious notifications when people sub or donate. He does chat with people, but honestly it feels like a group of friends getting together.

He also has a magnificent beard and will pull out a tophat when he beats a game.

He's by far my favorite streamer.

I can already hear the channels asking for those prime members now.

They have been for sure, and tweeting about it. lol I've been sitting in the KindaFunnyGames channel for a couple of minutes and they have already gotten 20+ subs so far since I joined. They're not even streaming.

You should sub to Lirik

Awesome to see so many people supporting Easy Allies with this, definitely one of the best twitch accounts out there

so basically the opposite of most popular streamers

The only thing im not really following is the discount on games sold on Amazon part. Is it just the same bonus they've had for a while, or does it stack on or something if you connect with twitch?

Everything else sounds pretty cool

My wife is the primary of our Amazon Prime account, I'm secondary. So if I want Twitch Prime, she has to create a Twitch account, and link it to her Amazon account, and then I as the secondary holder will also be able to sign up for Twitch Prime, correct?

No idea who I'll subscribe to, I'm just psyched about no more commercials.

pretty sure only the twitch account linked to the primary prime account gets twitch prime. just link her amazon account to your twitch account.

Don't use twitch that often but I'll happily throw my free subscription to either Maximillian or the Super Best Friends. Finally having the 20 % discount on select games in Canada is fantastic. Good on Amazon and here's hoping stuff like this continues.

Pretty cool. I actually just started watching twitch a bit for the first time the last couple days.

Used my free subscription on Huber/Easy Allies. Any other good channels to check out/follow?

So I tried to link my account, and sign up to twitch cause I don't have an account there, but after I fill out a username and password the sign up button is still greyed out, I can't click on it, and yes I clicked on the I'm not a robot part.

My favorite streamer is FlareRDB, who I just used this to subscribe to. He's a pretty relaxed, chill streamer and streams a lot of stuff like Super Mario Maker, Yu-Gi-Oh: Forbidden Memories, and Pokemon OmegaRuby/Alpha Sapphire and usually at least once a week plays party games like Mario Party 1-3/4-7 (usually either the N64 or Gamecube ones on a given night) or Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival with his girlfriend Citrine (who also created all the emotes and art on the channel) once a week.

He also definitely doesn't tolerate nonsense on his chat, being quick to time-out/ban anyone who tries anything stupid, as he cares about his chat being as much of a welcoming community as possible and he's also on the smaller side of streamers so his chat is usually pretty readable. And it's usually just a really relaxed, laid-back fun stream and he has a great sense of humor so I really enjoy it. So that's who I would recommend if you're into any of that.

Edit: He also doesn't use a facecam at all because that's just personally not his thing at all and he prefers for the stream to be more about the game so for people who dislike facecams that's probably a plus I suppose.

It's just the prime perk.

As someone who gives few shits about watching other people play games, what's special about a free sub?
It's just a way of being able to support some of your favorite steamers on Twitch while also usually getting cool emotes that you can use in any chat on Twitch as long as the sub lasts. But if you don't care about watching anyone in particular, than nothing really I suppose--it's just there for those that do.

Megaton.

With how often he refers to female NPCs in games as 'bb grill', bitch or slut I can't throw even free money his way. I still watch on occasion and enjoy it but man I wish that shit would go away.

I'll probably give my first free 30 days to Idle Thumbs since I basically buy whatever those guys are selling and thought about subbing with real money anyway.

I love this addition so very much. But I don't have many favorite streamers who do it consistently (i'm very picky), and most chats are basically just a clique conversing amongst each other while randoms/lurkers chime in only to be ignored. That basically shuts down any fun I could have in small chats and prime membership, sadly.

I second this. I find him super relaxing to listen to before bed. Especially since the games he plays are usually fairly chill to watch (like Isaac or FTL)

Can anyone rec a small time streamer who is worthy?

I was gonna give my sub to max or lobosjr but they don't really need it.

All things considered, free 1 day delivery, prime 1-2 hour delivery in major cities, kindle unlimited, instant video, prime music. It really is an absolute bargain for that annual fee. Like I look at it and compare it to netflix. Which in and of itself is already really good. But still.. It's crazy.
And even the instant video has certain feature advantages over netflix, like the imdb integration, and the time skipping. And now with twitch. The originals for instant video are really decent as well. Really enjoyed man in the high castle and bosch.

So I just linked my Prime account to Twitch, how do I set my monthly free subscription?

You have to go to the channel you want to sub to and click on subscribe. You'll see a free subscribe option when you click on subscribe.

Too bad shared accounts can't be linked. I share Prime with my family and I'm the only one who would use this, but I'm not the primary account holder.

I barely ever use Twitch but this is really nice! I'm still tied to my family's Prime though so... not sure if I get it; no one else in my family will use the benefits though, so worst case I can link to the primary account without issue, I guess.

Is there not an option on the app yet? Just shows a bunch of payment options, none of them are the free option.

I linked my prime account, but when I click on get loot, it just brings me to my twitch main page. How do I claim loot?

Also I'm not seeing any game discounts when I click on see discounts?
