Might as well just mute it since that's how it'd sound censored.
Nah, it would be just a constant beep. Like "You *BEEEEEEEEEP* and those *BEEEEEEEP* zombies can go *BEEEEEEEEEP* , mother*BEEEEEEP*"

So pumped about this. Still have the original Typing of the Dead on PC (and would buy it again on Steam, if they made it available), but love having a new Steam version to go forward with. Downloaded, but haven't had time to play it, yet. Considering this is based on Overkill, hoping there's an option to disable cussing, though...
Can anyone confirm there's a British English option/version?

Have you got a USB sensor bar?I had 0'30€ on my Steam wallet. It must be a sign for me to buy this.
I can't wait to connect my wiimote, I hope they somehow add local multiplayer support.
Teknopathetic:
Excellent scores, man, I don't know if you've been paying attention to how well you've been doing but you're #5 in the world on at least one level!
There is no toggle that I can find in options to disable swearing, although you could mute dialogue volume independently of music/sound effects volume. To some extent it's going to be unavoidable, though--Overkill is a very crass game in subject matter independent of the language.

I'm starting to think I should get me one of those..

It is hilarious that this game launched as a Typing of the Dead sequel instead of an Overkill PC port, they've basically put the actual game in as just a feature
Sega is the master of rereleases, this is heaven,
I normally just turn on my Wii. Ever since Dolphin, that's all it does.
But damn does she do it right.
Wario64 mentioned TotD on Steam the other day and people, including myself, thought he was just joking. Guess he knew betterI thought this game was a joke in SteamGAF.
Bought.
still waiting on Skies/Shenmue
So am I crazy or is there no way to run this in resolutions higher than 1080p? I know it's going for the grindhouse thing but the low resolution looks kind of awful.
The internal rendering resolution of the is actually locked to 720p. Upping the resolution just makes the menus sharper.

so your Wii is just powering the sensor bar and dolphin is reading the wiimote input via bluetooth or are you using something like glovepie for that?
How?
Changed my country to the UK, still didn't work.
How does the game run?

I saw your name on the leaderboard
let it be known that VJC is coming for DAT ASS
I'm a little confused as to how the combo mechanic works. I thought you had to be perfect, but I've missed a letter in a few words and still had my combo extended.
My PC:
I5 2500k
Geforce 660 3GB
8GB's of RAM @1600Mhz
I had FRAPS on and it runs at a steady 60FPS with no stutter in game. This is at 1920x1080 with "antialiasing" on. This game really has nothing in the way of graphics options, just antialiasing on or off and the ability to change your screen resolution. That's about it.
But this game was port of a PS3 game that was originally a port of a Wii title. While it's visually the best looking typing game on PC, it still just an enhanced Wii game.Don;t expect to be blown away by the visuals.
This is my first playthrough of Overkill though, and for a western made House of the Dread game, its surprisingly good. The game uses a Grindhouse like presentation and there's quite a few funny moments. Though not unintentionally funny like the previous games in the series.
Typing of Arcadia
Type "FUCK, STOP" to avoid a random battle
I think shenmue is coming.
How do you grab the items? Have yet to figure it out.#1 in the world on the Carnival level on hard. I finished the level with 99% accuracy, collected everything, never got hit, full combo for the entire level. .

Until now, I just let Dolphin do all the recognition. Worked fantastic with both my Wiimote and Wiimote+. I'll have to look into other software to be able to use it with this game. I guess glovepie, yes.
And yes, the Wii just powers the sensor bar.
Some of that may be updated in an upcoming patch. The game's Steam page mentions a patch with free DLC for online multiplayer.I've played the first chapter and... I think the original TotD was better.
Overkill is still a fun game, mind you, but TotD seemed more... complete for a typing game. There was the tutorial mode and various practice modes that helped you practice certain aspects of typing. Power-ups were designed with typing in mind (i.e. some gave you short words, some gave you words from a certain category or similar-sounding words). There were also those little additional challenges during chapters where you had to type really quick or had to type very long words. Also, the thing I miss the most are scores that would actually show you how quick you type, your accuracy, your most problematic letters and other aspects of your typing.
Not to mention, agents don't even wear keyboards like they did in the first game.

While the first game looked like a game designed completely for teaching and using typing (even though it was based on an on-rail shooter), this one feels like an on-rail shooter with just typing slapped on it. There's even HUD showing you the amount of bullets until next reload (even though you don't have to reload in the typing mode).
Wishlisted, for now.
I will probably buy it by the end of the week though, such a great game.
This was Smilebit, right?
Whoa. This is a new typing of the dead.
Love seeing all the gaffers on the leaderboards. Some of the later levels only have like 15 people on them. I'm number 3 on the train level!
Whoa.
Out of fucking nowhere.
