Incidentally while I knew about the Cold War terminology, I am surprised that the term Third World is not universally accepted as categorization of undeveloped countries today. That was what I was taught in geography class if I remember correctly, so I did actually in a way learn something new.

I'll work on my humor… Anyway, I did not mean to say you were uneducated, just undereducated, which is understandable - most mandatory education systems do not have adequate classes, and unless you are an anthropologist(as I am, so to answer your question, yes I have been to countries that used to be called Third World), poli-scientist, or economist, or a self studied enthusiast of these topics, I wouldn't expect you to.

Anyway, as Lonely1 has pointed out, the terms are woefully outdated and are not accurate representations of the progress any one country is development-wise, or economic-wise - let alone the breadth of the diversity within those countries.

Born in Austin, lived in Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth (also Louisiana and Tennessee). I love it because on every other corner there's a taqueria that puts the chain shit to shame, and because I have my choice of two different Mexican Grocers within a mile of my house that carry an incredible assortment of delicious foods that I can't get elsewhere. I love Hispanic culture, including the music, the writing, the film, and, well, the ladies. And the influx of Hispanics into my town have brought cultural opportunities with them.

Also, I've been around the culture my entire life. My first girlfriend was Guatemalan, my second was Latina, so even my first sexual experiences were with girls who grew up steeped in the culture. Man, I loved going over to their houses to dinner.
