Ubisoft may be planning massive games showcase

"Beyond Good and Evil 2"

Just give it up lol. The game is nothing but vaporware. It's also nothing like the game I fell in love with back in the day, so they can can it for all I care.

I must be the only one who enjoys Ubisoft games. It's amazing they're still in business with all the hate GAF has for them.
Ubisoft games are worth it in my opinion. their games are like a buffet, maybe not the best food, but they give you a lot for the money.

ofc, you're right i wouldn't turn down a game because it's not elden ring, it's just i think that at least to me the bar is set so high with that game that ubisoft has no chance forever ever to compete, it's like they're useless company for me

I greatly disagree.

The gaming community in terms of the hardcore seem to always have this funny ass tunnel vision anytime a game they like sales, they make it seem as if THAT fucking game NOW is the default and ooooh noez broz "day can't competez doe". Sir, they will continue to move record units. Most really don't fucking care. Look at how many games it took to even get them near 12 million, thats the fucking average for AC Rpgs right now, that isn't some (1 out of every 6 fucking Assassins Creeds titles).

People will like many diferent things, but this whole "Call Of Duty is doz" or "Assassins greedz can'ts compete" is probably one of the most cringe, neck beard, broken logic and fart smelling things I read around here.

So sir, I don't even play a lot of those games, but I do know that their fanbase is massive and many people buy their titles in record numbers, not some times, yearly, doesn't take then 6 fucking titles to see such numbers on a lot of those series, so I'm having a hard time believing Ubisoft will be in any trouble any time soon.

I say this as a Souls fan btw, just cause I like the series, universe, lore, From Soft titles in general (Armored Core 6....day 1), doesn't magically mean I'm under this fucking delusion that the massive base of people that buy Ubisoft titles will just up and disappear or some shit. I'm 99% sure someone can fucking buy both AC rpgs, Fenyx open world rpg and buy Souls Titles.

I'm definitely interested to see more from Avatar. I quite liked the PS3 game when it came out. Immortals I felt was a good game, but I didn't think it needed a sequel.

Yup.

A good example is Bloodborne. The amount of posts and threads I've seen from people bringing this game up, you'd think it sold 30 million copies. In reality on PS4 it sold something like 3 million copies. Yet it gets more chat about it than just about any game on PS4. You never know, some casual game like a Hasbro Board Game Collection might had even outsold it, but you would never hear ever on a forum people talking about Boggle or Risk. On PS1, the all time sales charts showed Frogger outselling games like Driver and Tony Hawk.

The funny thing about elitist gamers is you can bet your wallet that although they may downplay FIFA or COD now, they surely were one of the them buying and playing them at some point. What's happened is they moved on thinking they "outgrew that game".

Immortals Fenyx Rising was a good game. Beautiful open world, not overly bloated (for Ubisoft standards atleast), and nice to explore. Combat was good and they even had some pretty challenging platforming in some of the vaults. It was punished by critics and resented by many players because hating Ubisoft open world is the cool thing to do (sometimes with good reason tbh).

Mario + Rabbids is legit like a top 5 Switch game for me so definitely looking forward to that.

Splinter Cell remake and new Prince of Persia sounds interesting too.

Quite a few nice things on that list imo.

Would be very interesting to see some gameplay from Avatar.

Ubi has put out some really neat stuff the last couple of years. Breakpoint, Division 2, Fenyx Rising and Rainbow Six Extraction are great games imo :messenger_bicep:

Just give us Splinter Cell… fuck everything else.

No one gives a shit about a new AC, Ghost Recon, Far Cry blah blah blah, they all fucking suck and haven't been good in 10 years, fuck those games and just launch Splinter Cell you cunts.

Also fuck Beyond Good and Evil 2… it's going to be shite, give us Splinter Cell.
I love how you listed 4 games that used to be good, and now asking for a Splinter Cell game and expecting it to be good and a standout exception out of Ubi's recent body of work.

I want a good new Splinter Cell as bad as anyone, but expecting Ubi to come out with anywhere close to the original three is beyond their capabilities.

Hell, I'd take Blacklist type SC game if it means that Ubi isnt going to come out with an Open world, icons galore, type of game and calling it "next gen Splinter Cell."

Can't wait for the next open world game from the construction kit with different textures (:

I already see surprise elements and game time shorteners and towers to climb in Splinter Cell... and crafting.

Anyways, wasn't xfire like the ICQ of gaming back then and let you easily join servers your friends were on? At least there wasn't MTX back then and you had gotten maps and maps variants in a free patch.

This is true.

TBH i'd rather a remake than a new one for the reasons you said.

However even with a remake, Ubisoft are bound to fuck it up.

Really excited to see more Immortals... it's become one of my all time favorites. I'm REALLY HOPING they go to Egypt with the sequel. They could reuse many assets from Assassin's Creed Origins like they used for Fenyx Rising from Odyssey.

Hyped for the Crew 3! Looking forward to the big current gen update this summer for 2 and that 60 FPS.

A Splinter Cell remake would obviously be quite intriguing and exciting.

Always hyped for more Assassin's Creed and really eager to see new changes/direction for the series.

Can't wait to see the Prince of Persia remake and I would love to see a new sequel being developed.

I loved Mario + Rabbids and really happy that there's a sequel.
