Ubisoft Weekend Sale on Steam

Picked up Valiant Hearts, Child of Light and Rayman Legends, but for some reason, I now have to manually open UPlay, and click on the game there to open it from Steam. Trying to run any UPlay games directly from Steam doesn't work, it just sits there and doesn't open up UPlay. Piece of crap.

For real? All of Origins is basically in Legends, so I can just buy Legends and not miss out on anything?
I didn't realize this, either. Awesome. Already have Legends and had been waiting to find Origin on sale at some point so I guess I don't need to!

Also, I know Far Cry 4's discount isn't great, but I'd really hold out for it instead of buying FC3. It basically makes that game obsolete unless you really want the tropical setting. FC4 does *everything* better, by a good margin in many cases.

Apart from Rayman, nothing really tempts me - I'm beginning to realise that I'm no longer the target audience for AAA games (same issue when I look at anything from EA)

Tempted to pick up HommVI but there just seems to be so many issues with uPlay, I generally don't mind extra drm I.e GFWL however, from what I've read about uPlay and this particular game, you can't play offline, uPlay frequently becomes unresponsive amongst other issues.

It is however only £3 something, so won't be a major loss if I can't get it working...

I really enjoyed M&MH6 (to give it it's proper name, HOMMVI? Tut)- now it's had several patches, it's well worth picking up. To be fair, I didn't find UPlay that intrusive while playing it, it just didn't offer anything beneficial.

Trying to collect card money so I can get Rayman Legends. I missed out on the Black Flag error the minute the sale went up so pretty much nothing for me.

So not the 'entire' game, 40 out of 60 levels picked by ubi and touched up. I think the 'real' reason for it( in the article they say its because origins was never on wii u,granted it was on wii which is compatible with U) is because of all the backlash they received delaying the U version, as it was originally an exclusive.

I guess still worth picking up origins if its on sale, which brings us back to the main point raised by the other poster: why is it never on sale?

I am looking forward to playing Valiant Hearts.

I encourage anyone who hasn't got FC: Blood Dragon and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger to buy them. Far better than their bigger brother's versions.

Blood Dragon is terrible.

I am thoroughly enjoying the game. The graphical style and sound effects really add to the experience and I quite like the humour of it all; the game nails the 80's action film vibe.

I could start with the intro, which sticks out to me as maybe the most annoying tutorial I have ever played. It makes you jump through all of the tedious hoops that every single hack AAA fps makes you jump through, while constantly chiming in with jokey jokes about how lame all of that shit is. Like, yeah, it is super lame that you are making me play a full fps tutorial, and even prolonging the experience by stopping me repeatedly to call my attention to it.

It took me back to my brother making me hit myself in the face with my hand and hollaring 'Why are you hitting yourself?'

Yes you're right, the first 6 minutes in the tutorial is pretty whack. Totally agree. How about the other 8 hours?

As long as they didn't include any of the sidescrolling shooter levels it's probably a vastly improved experience anyway.

Heroes VI complete for 7.50 and nooooobody is talking about it....is it that bad?

100% worth it. It's great and has a very enjoyable campaign. I really like the art of the game as well.

How is Anno 2070? Would you guys recommend it?

It's excellent. I'm more team historical style Anno, but it's classical Anno, which is a good thing, anyway.

It's been far too long without a new Anno. Shitty browser games don't count.

I wanted to get might and magic 6 but lot of negative reviews on steam. Is uplay really that bad? i mostly played ubisoft games on my console so never had issues there.

I disables cloud saves (you may occasionally lose your saves due to that) and haven't had problems with it. I wouldn't recommend counting on it on the launch day of a AAA, but for normal use, it's ok.

When it works well it's basically invisible. When it doesn't work well your games are typically just completely non-functional.
