Starting last night, uBlock Origin is now available to all with a simple one-click in the Store. The Edge version shares 95% of the same code as the Firefox and Chrome versions. Nik gives Microsoft credit saying "the Edge team have done a great job of matching compatibility with Chrome's APIs."

Get ready to ask yourself, "why the hell is this site connected to so many different domains" a lot, Edge users.

there are Edge users?

Edge is a great browser. A little lacking in plugins, but it's modern, fast, doesn't use too much memory, and has a built-in note and screenshot tool.

I only used Edge once and I visited a site and was immediately hit with a browser redirect that wouldn't go away until I reset all the internet settings and then wiped the cache and change the registry. I guess the good thing in all of that was that at least it didn't affect the actual operating system but damn that was annoying.

I never had that problem with Chrome+ScriptSafe...if this is similar to that plugin, i'll give it a chance for use on my ultrabook.

what about chrome for android?

what options do i have for mobile browsing, i use yandex browser because it uses adguard, but i keep getting redirected to russian sites

I use Firefox with my S7. there is ublock for it.

Nice, uBlock is great. I don't use Edge too often, but I do like the browser.

UO can block as much or as little as you want, various scripts, images, etc.

This is not my experience. I have to use it at work and home for certain purposes, but it's incredibly slow and unresponsive. It also scores worse on html5 tests than Chrome or Firefox.

I installed from the github directly last week and it's been absolutely fabulous. F12 is still no Chrome Dev Tools so I keep Chrome around but the perf and clean UI in Edge is really nice.

edit: Just pointing out that before good adblocking was around, Edge was more or less unusable. That says more about the state of ads on the internet than anything else. Also make sure NOT to block sites you care about. What'll murder you is Twitch or random google search hits that are bursting with ads.

I'm finally back on Chrome after months of trying to make Edge work. It's slower, less responsive, and even unsupported on a surprising number of websites.

Youtube videos broke in Edge for me for a solid couple of weeks.

I haven't used Edge personally, but I'm glad to see further support for uBlock. It's served me well since Adblock sold out and went down the "acceptable ad" path.

I'm having a good time with Edge but there are some things from Chrome that I miss.

I couldn't go back to Chrome though, as everything I wanted apart from a few things are coming to Edge.

Is it just me, or the FireFox version of Origin, but damn, it blocks shit so hard that some sites fail to even show up, which leads me then to deactivate Origin completely.
Other sites with integrated video players fail to start with Origin active.

I don't know, as much as I like browsing with it (and ABP) on, it's creating some hassle while surfing.
