Oh come the hell on, it's not like they were never high level fighters. Forest had two of the biggest upsets in UFC history and put on the fight that was the most important in UFC history. Ortiz has the title for just about forever until he ran into Couture and Liddell.

Right place right time, very little to do with their actual skill level.

Shogun and Rampage are still considered among the top fighters in the weight class, you're going to tell me that beating them back to back means absolutely nothing?

Can' believe Tito hasnt tried harder for the takedown..

Terrible
Forrest is bigger than him. Takes a lot to get a power takedown on a bigger fighter. He was content to stand with Forrest because there was no danger. If he was fighting a dangerous striker he would have been relentless with the takedown. Tito's striking has always been bad. His shoots looked good this fight.

Shogun was out of shape and Rampage got robbed (it was a draw at worst).

1. He beat an injured, out of shape Shogun.

2. He didn't beat Rampage, bs decision.

Not taking anything away from Forrest, but Shogun wasn't 100%. 100% Shogun would run through Forrest, as displayed by the Machida fight.

You must be delusional if you think the win over shogun was against a prime inform shogun. The shogun of today would tool Forrest within the first round. The rampage he fought also had allot going on in his life at the time and most still think rampage won that fight.

Right place right time. Same thing with the Ultimate fighter series one.

Forrest at best is an above average fighter.

i want an evilore HD gif of forrest's straight kick that knocked out tito's mouth guard

Tito is incredibly boring. All the talk of his cardio, and all he ever does is lumber around the ring, trying a handful of shoots, then just sort of takes a bunch of punches. What a waste. It's too late to work on his standup. He needs to just retire. PEACE.

Before fight....
"I had back surgery. I'm back at 100%."

After the fight....
"I have a cracked skull. I have a bulging disc."

I think the right guy got the win, but i think the 30-27 was kinda ridiculous. I felt Tito won the second round and the 1st round was tight, but I'll give it to Forest. So at best 10-9, 9-10, 10-8: 29-27 Forest...

tito didnt do anything in this fight to win, i guess you could have given him the second round, he got a take down and landed 2 or 3 elbows, but he's done as a fighter

tito = a big name gate keeper, he's never evolved with the sport, still has F rate stand up, and doesnt really have good take downs or good ground and pound, he wouldve probably lost to mark coleman tonight

Oh look, Tito pulls out the injury excuse after chanting for days before the fight that he's 100%.

This is my surprised face.

And if you scored the fight for Tito, you're on crack. Tito won round 2, sure, but no way he should be given round 1.

edit: also, if you scored round 1 of Tito/Forrest I as a 10-8 for Tito, I certainly hope you scored Round 3 tonight as a 10-8 for Forrest. :P

Sleeper hold OMG! :lol

Did you really just type "Sleeper hold OMG!"? Have you ever watched an MMA match before in your life?

...

smh

we should take it easy on poor tito, he fought with a cracked skull and bulging discs in his back, he should be wheel chair bound, but he was in the octagon slugging it out with forrest griffin, what a warrior :lol

just watched the fights, SOOOOO Glad the Luis Cane hype train got de-railed tonight! couldn't stand him or his nuthuggers. WAR 'DIET' NOG!!!!

glad Kos won, i know it was a pretty questionable fight but it was still a good win for him. Was never on the Rumble Johnson hype train anyway, dude got subbed by Clementi, and the only guy that wasn't a can that he beat he outweighed horribly. got tired of everyone talking like he was a striking and wrestling god, the Burns TKO was lame though.

WAAAARRRR PAULO THIAGO!!!! big fan, glad he got another win.

I'm not sure I'm a fan of his, because he fought just about the most retarded gawdamned round in MMA.

he'd knock Volkmann down, then engage on the ground, and EVERY FUCKING TIME would get swept and eat some punches on the ground, before taking his sweet-ass time reversing and getting back to his feet.

Here's a concept: You're kicking his ass on the feet. So when you knock him down, or he flops to his back, BACK YOUR ASS UP, AND KEEP KICKING HIS ASS STANDING.

Fuck, it's not rocket science. I thought he nearly threw the fight away in that third round.

yeah, it always pissed me off when guys did that, still wonder why bigfoot silva did that shit against Werdum at the last strikeforce card.

but with that said, i'm still WAR THIAGO! he had the first two rounds won on my card. I was pretty surprised at the 30-28 score though.

he's just a walking ego. Thats why his head is so big, to fit all that ego in.

Anyway, on the whole, I thought it was a greatly entertaining card, one of those where the name value is weak, but the fights deliver in spades.

Kos/Johnson was weird, but good to see Kos FINALLY use his f-ing wrestling and ground skills. And I loved him calling out Hardy as undeserving of a title shot. But let's face it, doesn't matter who gets the shot, nobody's worthy of carrying GSP's jockstrap right now.

Loved lil' Nog's destruction of Cane. That was some impressive, crisp boxing.
