Yeah, it was. The comment was made in the midst of others going "omfg look at the blood", and such. Notice the laughing smiley and then dry your panties out. Christ.

lol @ me trying to make it an event. I made a short and light comment when the blood started flowing that someone curious about the sport would be turned off if they tuned it at that point, and people started rushing to defend the entire UFC as a whole as if what I said was some huge slight against the organization, instead of something obvious and ultimately trivial about Joe Schmoe television watcher. I haven't seen a group this overly defensive since the Dreamcast days. :lol

just stop posting please.

sad to see huerta leave, him not taping on that kimura was just insane. huerta did look more technically sound, had no rust, but he didn't look good in exchanges. huerta seemed to close his eyes, flinch, then swing wildly to get out of the exchange. the old huerta seemed to be less afraid to get hit on the face.

diaz outsmarted guilard. nate adapted to guilard's stand up style and waited for melvin to do something stupid, which was inevitable.

great fights all around for all fighters, win or lose.

I had Huerta losing the fight before hand, but the entire fight, I was rooting for him. He looked pretty damn good I thought.

A great night of fights though...very satisfying. And then Ultimate Fighter came on and ruined all the elation a felt...

Fight night was great, TUF not so much. I can't wait to see Madsen have to fight someone with a real ground game. The guys a one trick pony. I want to see him get laid the fuck out.

Terrible TUF fight

zero takedown defense at tis worst, boring, only intersting cuz of the amount of blood this guy was losing.

Na.....UFC wanted Cantwell to win, dude comes off a tough tough fight against cane and then he goes and loses a UD to Stann. That was a gimmie fight for Cantwell and was also supposed to get Stann out of the UFC.

Cantwell now has his back against the wall, hope he brings it next fight.

I want to see the fight night undercard!
Also: Rampage is a funny guy but a baaaad coach.
Tiki is also not really a help i´m sure.

should have stopped the fight towards the end of the first. dude was bleeding like hell and not doing anything

I would imagine that a large majority of the fights this season on TUF will be like last nights fights. It's just the nature of the beast with HW fighters.
I can't believe how terrible Rampage was in the selection of his team (Rashad's team is seriously stacked, so much so that I'll be surprised if Rampage wins 1-2 fights). Rampage made a terrible selection for his first fight, Wagner even told him his wrestling needs a lot of work, and then the terrible coaching.

"get up get up" is not helping .. at all.

I expect Rashad will walk away with this season.

see, i was more of the opinion that they would want stann to win because a loss would have made him nearly irrelevant in the LHW division. now they have a REAL LIVE MARINE fighting in the octagon representing our armed forces and showing off how tough they are. to bad for stann, because his fight with cane was great and showed that he has improved since moving to the big show where cantwell seemed to have faltered.

Wow you are really selling him short. He also said DO SOMETHING DO SOMETHING and SUB HIM several times. If the scrub would have just listened to his coach and subbed the guy, he would have won (by definition).

Rampage is one dumb douche.

Rampage could not know that the guy was that useless.
The guy even dared mention his jiu jitsu (which did not exist).
The first take down you can give the guy, but the others he KNEW were coming...his opponent was a one trick idiot and even knowing it was coming he did nothing about it.

Wait, getting confused here.

Steve cantwell fought luiz cane, and also broke razak al-hassans arm.

Stann got blown out of the water by Soszynski in about 2 minutes and has a drew mcfwdries ground game.

That's why I am saying it was a shocker because cantwell along with jon jones were 2 of the top future prospects that they wanted to hype.

but stann was a REAL LIVE MARINE! he fought in IRAQ!

ok, sorry, i am being a bit facetious here

hmm not much impressions of tuf i guess. my first one so here are a few:

-really didn't like sims in his ufc days, but i thought he was self-effacing and pretty funny here.

-kimbo seemed pretty damn humble and almost shy, and more made the other guys look like jackasses for talking shit about him. don't think many people expected that.

-REALLY didn't like the scripted shit. i guess people are loving the "rivalry" so whatever works but i didn't feel any heat at all in their exchanges. and a lot of the humor especially from rampage felt so forced. loved dana coming in and telling them "DON'T FIGHT GUYS!" when neither one even seem upset much less ready to fight. hope rampage does better in a team or at least takes some lessons from the pro wrestling guys as to how to generate at least a little heat.

-the picks it's hard to comment on as who knows how much of it is scripted. obviously rashad's team is better but i am pretty interested like most to see how sims and kimbo do.

-i get the appeal but the nflers i'm probably the least interested in out of anyone.

Dana not a happy man...

UFC president Dana White did a radio appearance today where he guaranteed a network TV deal for quarterly UFC specials by September 15, 2009. White also spoke on Quinton “Rampage” Jackson pulling out of the Dec. 12 show in Memphis against Rashad Evans so he can play Mr. T in the new A-Team movie, saying:

“I hate it. I’m so mad at Rampage over this. Rampage is a guy that we’ve obviously taken under our wings the last couple of years. We really like him and done a lot of good things for him. For him to do this to me, and pull out for this goofy A-Team movie, I’m not happy at all. They’re not paying him jack. He’s giving up literally millions of dollars to play Mr. T. If you think he’s gonna go in and say, `I pity the fool,’ and he’s gonna become a huge serious actor off that role, give me a friggin’ break.”

White finished by saying he and Rampage are no longer on speaking terms.

Wow I just got 2 more floor tickets to UFC 103.. :lol

<3 my job.

(The floor seats are $450.00 face value.. wow)
What the fuck?! I will trade you my 2 $240 tickets for floor tickets. What do I gotta do?

A lil slurp and burp?
I'm serious. Are they just extra tickets you have? Do you have any friends that you are giving them too. This will be my roommate and I first UFC event. We have the $240 tickets but sitting floor side would be so sweet.

You going to the weigh in tomorrow?

I gave the tickets to a few friends. Sorry :(

Also not sure if Id just straight up trade $450 floor tickets for $240 ones lolz..

I'm not gonna make the weigh in tomorrow.. too busy in the office.

Just got caught up on Ultimate Fighter spoilers...
Can not believe the level of idiocy , though then again because of the total IQ of the house this season I can...

People who have a "vague curiosity about the UFC" aren't going to be turned off by the "perceived violence"

To further your point, I count myself among those who have a vague curiosity. I like the violence. It's cathartic.

Just finished watching the prelims(except Steinbeiss/Jensen).

Wilson vs Pyle sucked

Larson vs Guid.....I mean Pearce sucked more.

Stephens and Buchholz were on their way to stealing FOTN from Quarry/Credeur before that unfortunate cut.

Stan vs Cantwell was ok.

Dollaway vs Silva was good for about 8 minutes. Then CB gassed BAD. CB still managed to get two takedowns and survive the 3rd even though he could barely stand to start the round. He ate a few sick knees in that last round.

They are all going to be terrible because its HW's. It's the slowest, least athletic, least skilled division in MMA by far and most of these guys are scrub HW's.

I can't believe anyone was actually looking forward to this season.

Who the hell was, for the fighters, at least.

I've only seen Rampage/Rashad hype, and some people wanting to see Kimbo.

Add in the real second coach, Greg Jackson, and "getting beat" to the Kimbo thing and yeah.

the sherdog pbp said he tried to explain away his performance by saying he was sooooo sick the night before, all he did was throw up, boohoo icantclosemylips CB

If the things I have heard about this season are true (and I feel good that they are) it will be a very slow season.
Though an interesting non TUF fight is pretty much a lock for the finale due to the way the season goes...

To be fair, he initially was telling him to put his feet on the guy's hips and push off. Dude didn't even try. That said, Rampage is a HORRIBLE coach. But we knew this already. Dude has basically only really trained well himself for what, three or four fights? I still love 'im, though.

man, a missed weight extravaganza today at the weigh-ins

Vitor missed weight by 2 lbs at 197

Efrain Escudero missed weight by 2 lbs at 157

and Hermes Franca missed weight by 4 lbs at 159

Wow. Good going, guys.

If this affects Vitor tomorrow I'm gonna be furious.

OokieSpookie said:
He has an hour to cut the rest right or is that the weight after the hour?

na, he gets i think 2 hours i believe to weigh in. he's gotta weigh by 7PM.

Franca/Griffin agreed to fight at a catchweight so Franca doesn't have to lose the weight, he just has to lose some of his paycheck. lol

It's time for Vitor to make like a supermodel and puke.

EDIT: Rampage pulled out of his fight with Evans? Fuck that guy. What an idiot.
