Steroids don't make you a good fighter, and he has more muscle on him now then he has ever had in his career. They also don't stop you from gassing, which is also a big problem for him now.

steroids aren't just about making you buffer. I said that in jest but in all seriousness he could have been using them during his training before the fights to be able to train harder

I wouldn't be surprised if Cop's problem is a combination of steroids and mentality. He walked through Barnett, didn't look himself against Sanchez and then just got dominated by GG all in a 5 month span.

He looked like he had years left against Barnett, but then looked much slower and broken down in his fights against Sanchez and GG.

Vitor by KO.

It has nothing to do with training harder. He is not even fighting remotely the same as he used to. He even looked like shit in the fight he had outside of UFC recently where he could have used steroids.

All you have to do is look at how he was in K1 and the start of his MMA career, and look at him now. It doesn't even look like the same fighter. He doesn't fight the same, he doesn't use the same combination, doesn't use the same foot work, doesn't soften his oppoents legs up with a barrage of leg kicks any longer. He can barely stuff take downs, and at one point when he was in Pride, people were saying he had some of the best take down defense in MMA.

The guy is done. It happens. He is 35 years old, most fighters don't last that long. When great fighters continue to fight, they end up breaking down. It's the way combat sports and I am sure you know that.

He needs to hang it up.

holy fucking depressing shit @ crocops demise.

fedor took his soul years ago, then gonzaga took his physicality.

there have just been too many damn bad performances over the past coupls years, i think he should retire. bleeding, gassing out, getting rocked, leaving himself completely open for knees and shit.

it is really disturbing. i think either he really does not give a crap and just trains to stay in shape, rather than real hard work sparring and rolling around, or his warrior fights have taken the ultimate toll.

fuck :(

Vitor by KO.

Which is why lack of whatever juice he was on makes sense, same thing with Wanderlei.

Wandy may have been on roids, but that isn't his issue. His issue is he has had his bell rung one to many times, and has been in to many wars. You are never the same after the first KO. He started losing back in Pride. It's not like he came to the UFC and thats when he started losing.

I'm not going to argue with your love for Pride in it's glory days, but Wanderlei, Cro cop, and Sho gun have all basically looked like shit in the UFC. You can use different excuses for each fighter, but I'm pretty sure Rampage said something about Wanderlei being on the juice in Pride, and then there's Josh Barnett :lol

Either way, juice can do wonders for recovery and explosiveness and none of those fighters have looked anywhere near explosive in the UFC.

ack, worst main event in a long, long time. Im up overall from the event but pissed that I lost on Belfort, I didnt know Jesus was allowed to help. As long as Mayweather wins its still a great night

Joe Rogan: "Rich, look at the big screen and tell us how you got fucked up here just mere moments ago. Please explain, thanks."

I'm not sure what else Franklin could have done. He was being careful of the counterpunches, he just got tagged once and then Vitor pounced.

He can gatekeep at two weight classes?

Good point, I feel bad for Rich because where does he really go from here? Anderson got him twice, Hendo got him, and now Vitor ran through him, he hasn't faired well against upper echelon fighters lately.
