Uncle Dana is usually tolerable, but I can't imagine how a fan of mainstream sports views him in relation to their respective commissioners.
Am I wrong for thinking that basically all UFC fans are douchebags? I see a guy wearing a Tapout shirt and I instantly dislike him.
The thing is, I dunno that UFC fans are any douchier than fans of any other teams/sports.
Just something about those shirts make it seem that way.
I always thought that UFC was stealing the redneck wrestling demographic?

No, it seems that the redneck wrestling audience was turning off by actual grappling.
The problem here is that Dana believes responding to SOPA = Nerd.
Responding to potential information loss on his website = Nerd.
Cheering him on = OH YEA THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT BRO.
He's clearly out of touch with his audience and doesn't know the reach his sport has among different demographics. MMA is easier to follow and understand (and appreciate) for, ahem, nerds, than something like Football.
Well it is even more homoerotic than 'pro' wrestling so I suppose that could've weirded some people out.
I would like to see UFC's website hacked again if this is how Dana White reacts.

I've been to many UFC events. I have to work with them on a annual basis. I've met Dana several times, and pretty much every major fighter.
Dana White knows his audience. They're eating this shit up.
I am curious about this. I have an event to work this weekend at the UFC in Chicago. I wonder what it will be like. We're photogrpahing stuff, so, I'm guessing I won't have to worry about anything except having access restricted.
Dana White seemed like an alright dude on television, but he's straight embarrassing himself right now.
Isn't sopa dead?
This is like Paul Christoforo all over again, only no one really cares, lol.
The people at the events are generally there to have a good time. I've never had any issues working them. But they are the most bro bros who ever bro'd.
As a general rule. Of course, blanket statements, yaddda yadda whatever. Pretty fun to attend, not really my thing personally, but the organizers are pretty cool to work with across the board. You'll have a good time.
Protip: Do whatever it takes to get into the after party.
Regarding comments like these, I've been inside MMA GAF's bubble too long. Seeing non-MMA GAF discover Uncle Dana is hilarious.![]()

I follow MMA pretty closely, actually, as a sport. I avoid the GAF thread (and most GAF sports threads) because people are either too "right" or downright disrespectful. It's kind of irritating to be honestJust because I don't follow GAF threads or follow / interact with these people on Facebook/Twitter doesn't mean I (or anyone else) am "non-MMA GAF". Don't be Dana White and make baseless assumptions about people based on a single sentence of less than 160 characters

I used your post as an archetypal base. Nothing more, no offence intended.

MMA thread is cool man, we're good people. It's like the anti-NFL/NBA thread.

I love watching MMA from Japan as the difference between those fans and the UFC fans who attend are night and day.
You watch Bad MMA™ because the fans are classier?
I can't work up the nerve to post in either of those two threads. Just isn't worth it. "Who the fuck are you" always appears. Hate that shit.
i think he has confused WWE & UFC
atleast i hope
I mean, I do agree with the UFC that they have to protect their live events being ripped and distributed online.
But, they clearly don't care about the other stuff that SOPA would have done.
The whole costing us millions act is seriously getting old though. Then he throws in the "costing us American jobs" line which is classic. Out of all the things that are illegally reproduced, from books, movies, games, etc - PPV streaming is probably the absolute lowest level of missed revenue there is. So much so, I bet it cost him more money to write that letter than the actual cost of piracy to the UFC.

The NBA thread is great. Everyone gets the "who the fuck are you," line. We used to be able to post tits in there before someone complained about it.I can't work up the nerve to post in either of those two threads. Just isn't worth it. "Who the fuck are you" always appears. Hate that shit.
Up next on the list to make it even more humorous, they'll hack Dana White's twitter.
Stop it. You're being that boxing fan right now.
Dana White is a fucking douche and one of the reasons i don't support UFC financially.
Its very homoerotic when a guy gets his arm broken grappling.

Most people just start posting, but this might help introduce yourself:I'll check it out then![]()
same because they are both completely different and I don't know how anyone could mistake the two...
