The first thing I can think of right now is "Poor noobie", and I don't even know why.

I guess it won't hit 1m at May NPD.
Sony's not gonna let this franchise die No freaking way lol
I wonder how much to break even. And is it just me, or am I thinking that it's a little too low for the hype it got?

Maybe I should add my second post to the first one. I strictly mean Sony not Naughty dog. This isn't solely about the Uncharted franchise. This is simply a big blockbuster Naughty Dog game and people love those.
TLOU was a brand new IP and sold gangbusters as well. If ND made a brand new IP right now it would sell gangbusters too.
Naughty Dog's freedom in terms of IP, budget and development time means they deliver quality every single time. And quality games get rewarded with great sales.
It's not just the brand name that is making this game fly off shelves. They aren't getting chained to this IP just because it sells a ton. That's a Microsoft kind of thinking right there.![]()

Why not?

Considering how well The Last of Us sold as a new IP, I think it's safe to say that it's the Naughty Dog brand that people want to spend their money on. Naughty Dog are the Christopher Nolan of video games.Sony's not gonna let this franchise die No freaking way lol
Uncharted games average 7 million. 21 million for the PS3 trilogy.
Why not?
Someone had the idea that ND should make an (80s or 90s) Buddy Cop game - I really liked the idea.
What's the fastest selling European market first party title? For the North American region, Uncharted 4 is the fastest-selling PS4 first party title to-date.
I don't think they would have posted about their specific numbers if they weren't satisfied with them.Digital + retail huh?
So are these good numbers? What were expectations?
Satisfied? Or "OMG it did way better than we even thought!"?I don't think they would have posted about their numbers if they weren't satisfied with them.

Well I wouldn't be so sure according to this...I don't think they would have posted about their specific numbers if they weren't satisfied with them.
Their team is double than their last game and has nearly twice the development time. 2.7 million isn't something to start pulling out the champagne bottles yet.

"Daaamn, look at these projected sales figures for the upcoming Crash Bandicoot game Naughty Dog are making!"
What's the fastest selling European market first party title?
Maybe Killzone with launch bundle? What's the fastest selling European market first party title?

I don't know, NA usually 35% of WW sale for PS4, minus digital, but this is just first week numbers...I guess it's still possible.
2.7 million copies for a platform exclusive title in a week is certainly something to celebrate about.Their team is double than their last game and has nearly twice the development time. 2.7 million isn't something to start pulling out the champagne bottles yet.

Really? I remember console war discussions back in the day about how Gears sold so much more than Uncharted. Either way, pretty impressive then.
Yeah, probably nothing like that but maybe more of a "it did pretty good!" sort of reaction? At the very least, I think they are content.Satisfied? Or "OMG it did way better than we even thought!"?
Uncharted 2 and 3 combined for around 17 million units sold. Gears was pretty consistent across all 3 games in the orginal trilogy, but Uncharted was more popular later on.
lol I can't.Well I wouldn't be so sure according to this...

Pure speculation from me :
First week (this we know) : 2700k
Second week : 80% drop (UK is 78%) : 540k
Third week : 50% drop (i have no idea what to expect): 270k
WW whole month : 3510k - 20% digital (could be more) : 2808k physical.
NA is 35% of this so : 982k.
Higher than Halo?
