Discovered this cool little game earlier today. It's kind of like Reigns in that different events and situations are drawn from a deck and you react in ways that affect your resources and might also new cards and events into the deck.

But it's a bit more strategic and RPG-lite than Reigns, since you have multiple resources in your hand and need to manage those resources to choose different options. For example, certain actions add Suspicion cards to your hand; too many Suspicion cards result in a police raid on your cult. Depending on your current resources, you can bribe the police using funds or selling relics, or fight them off with cult members, or fail if you can't do either. Events logically cost or grant different resources (paying money to get a doctor to stop a plague, taking rival cult members as prisoners, etc.)

It's essentially a narrative-driven single player card game roguelike

downloaded this yesterday after seeing it on r/androidgaming
pretty good, gameplay is basically deck-building reigns-like card game

I'll check this out. If I enjoy it, should I pick up Reigns? This is the first I'm hearing of that game.
Reigns is great. It takes empire management and molds into a clever mobile-friendly design that grows as you play with new cards and events being added to your overall pool of cards. It also has a lineage system and overarching stories and challenges that extend across generations

The developers are working on a sequel that shifts the focus from king to queen

I've played a few rounds of this and am finding it fairly interesting. I kinda wish there was a story being told as you do various things. It's a solid little time killer, but I bet I could get really invested in a game like this that told a story with consequences for your decisions.

You'd probably like Reigns more, the consequences can spill over into future generations and overarching narrative events link the individual reigns
