i know , i know the movie is ridiculous...but man Frank Langella really was good...its like they had enough money for a writer to write skeletors lines...then he quit or something.

As I recall he improvised a lot of his lines.

Dr. Facilier -- Princess and the Frog

Also:
Ozymandias
- Watchmen (Although he is better realized in the comic book, I still enjoyed the movie version)

Yea that dude was fucking scary. He didn't even do many things that were considered "villainy" either. Just the way he carried himself.

"Holy Toledo... somebody had fun.

I've always liked the "safety catch" scene.

Just chilling out, gun pointed at him, *click*, then takes the gun, flicks the catch and shoots Samuel L. in the leg. Very cooly says, "Forgot the safety catch", throws the gun to subordinate and walks away.

"They called me Mr. Glass."

I was thinking about him too but thought
spoiler alert

However, I think Jackson most underrated performance is this one:

Ordell (always thought it was Odell) from Jackie Brown.

Makes sense considering it's Tarantino's most underrated movie.

Yeah, Owen Davien is probably one of my favorite villains of all time. Definitely agree with this.

My favorite villain of all-time, though:

Jason Isaacs as Tavington in The Patriot. Probably one of the most despicable characters ever and played to perfection. Not sure how underrated he is, though, but I know the movie as a whole gets a lot of flak.

God, he is so good.

I am surprised no one has said Bill from Kill Bill. Not only was he an excellent villian who you wanted to die, but come the end of the movie when his motivations for what he did are revealed you suddenly don't want him to die and you get the impression neither does Beatrix Kiddo, but she knows she has to and it makes it such an awesome and emotional scene, his death was also done well and not gratuitous.

One of my favourite all time movie endings.

in re: Tavington

Watched this movie for the first time a week or so ago. Not only a terrible, terrible film, but such a ridiculous villain. Couldn't disagree with you more on this pick.
Ridiculous? You know he was based on a real British dragoon, right? Colonel Banastre Tarleton was commissioned to hunt the "Swamp Fox" (inspiration of Gibson's character), and was known as "The Butcher" because of his penchant for killing surrendering enemy soldiers and his troops' brutal raids on colonial settlements.

Jason Isaacs' character is boss. There are of course countless inaccuracies, but The Patriot is one of my biggest guilty pleasures.

Star Wars

Awesome villain and awesome movie. :)
YES

He was fucking amazing in Dracula, from the very first sequence. His God-cursing is stupendous.

Yeah, Gary Oldman has been great in pretty much everything I've seen him in. I haven't watched Dracula in years, you posting that link makes me want to watch it soon.
Can't talk about Hellboy without mentioning the weird undead Nazi dude

Wasn't his name Cronin/Kronin? Yes, he was awesome. Sort of like Darth Maul, not much to say but he speaks with his actions.
