Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012

I am really glad i lived in that era man games back then had something different than nowadays they were memorable and had soul i don't think i will ever feel the same about present day games in the future.
I was going to post this.

Also Klonoa and Punky Skunk.

Gaming media back then were often clamoring for the return of the beat'em ups in 3D, constantly claiming that no one did it right.

In my opinion, we got plenty of fun, mindless beat'em ups that simply never got their due.

Fighting force was Exhibit A, Gekido B

Here's C:

Crisis Beat

Mindless, addictive fighting in a cruise ship. There was a satisfying "Lock on" combo system with cinematic takedowns and environmental damage. Localized for Europe.

How is this not on PSN...

A question I have nicely posed to Shahid Ahmad and Gio Corsi. They just ignore me, which is rather aggravating, considering that I'm quite very respectful when asking about the game's presence (or lack thereof) on PSN.

I really liked this survival horror point 'n click game. It's a sequel to a snes game with a same title but that game never had English release... Original Clock Tower game is inspired by Dario Argento's movie Phenomena which is also one of my favourite movies. :D

Star Ixiom. I was blown away by the demo in OPSM and really enjoyed the full game too. When I discovered it in my local game store several years later, I didn't hesitate for a second and grabbed it for nostalgia reasons.

Not sure if multiplats counts, but

also, games that mentioned before in this thread:

Shadow Master
Rapid Racer (basically that game reminds me WipEout, but with motorboats instead spacecrafts)

Also Jet Moto, Brave Fenser Musashi, Bushido Blade, Pandemonium.

This game almost got a sequel for GBA, developed by WayForward, but the game they made evolved into something unrecognisable as Star Axiom, so it was released under a different name: Sigma Star Saga.

I've never seen or heard of Gunners Heaven and now I want it. I take it this is an import? Will it work on my PS3?

It was released in Japan and Europe (it's called Rapid Reload there). So you'd need a console from those regions for it to work.

Edit: Unless it's on one of the PS stores, then it'll work no matter which region your console is.

I didn't see any pictures of T'ai Fu. I'm disappointed.
Fun beat em up where you play a kung fu tiger on his way to fighting a dragon.
Also you get powers, one of which is like the Emperor from Star Wars.

OMG, I'm not the only who played this game. It has an awesome level design with button mashing combos.

Little known hack n slash from Namco called Dragon Valor, which plays similar to an earlier arcade title called Dragon Buster. Not the best action-RPG (lite) on the system by any means, but worth a play. Has a cool generation gimmick that offers branching chapters/characters.

Here's a SRPG I don't see too many people talk about, given the other heavyweights for the PS1 in this genre. The aesthetic looks most similar to Vandal Hearts, and the gameplay is simple but fun given the many classic Journey to the West characters, who each had unique beast transformations.

Overblood

Saga Frontier 2

Loved the use of water style painting for the backgrounds that was in the game, enjoyed the storyline and the soundtrack to the game is amazing.

Sled Storm

Mulitplayer + Stunt moves + Awesome soundtrack = Killer game

Reading this thread makes me so happy, the ps1 was amazing. Wish there was such variety on the recent plattforms :(
