maybe you can email the programmer and ask for 360 support.Dunlop said:I'm having issues now, but it does work great.....except not for my 360's : (
yes I know is is ps3mediaserver, but I want a single solution damnit!
sidenote, there is like little info with this program. Do I need to disable the SSDP service like with TVersity?
Obviously the best would be for the systems to play these formats natively and not need to rely on homebrew apps (for us, not them)

Darkmakaimura said:There's a couple more things that come with the update.
- 3-D Secure Support: 3-D secure of credit cards are now supported (whatever that means).
- XMB Theme Support on Blu-ray movie discs. You can apparently download themes from BD movies. The first movie to have this feature will be "Pineapple Express".
- HDD game data can be deleted during gameplay if the HDD becomes full.
- Safe Mode. A warning is added to mention to "Restore Default Settings" apparently when the PS3 needs to.

did you at least try the program? there are a couple of options for wireless streaming (in term of the video quality).shidoshi said:OMG I have everything set up wirelessly and wireless streaming sucks ass. Thanks anyway.
Yeah I tried streaming since everyone was raving about this feature. I tested it with the 1up show and got it working in about 2 seconds but it was choppy as hell and constantly starting and stopping, I would have been better off streaming the flash version through the ps3 browser.shidoshi said:OMG I have everything set up wirelessly and wireless streaming sucks ass. It just makes sense to have the psstore open as soon as you turn on your ps3 for the first time. Otherwise it'd be like having to register on amazon before you could browse the items.Blu_LED said:I'm so confused. Why would you need to guest PSStore support? Why would someone have a PS3, and an internet connection but not a PSN account?
The limit on the external FAT32 drives/memsticks does not apply to the internal drive. Most people just assume the FAT32 4GB limit also applies to the internal drive because the system can only read external drives/memsticks formatted FAT32, but its simply not true. The internal drive uses a proprietary file system that can hold files greater than 4GB's if you can find a way for the system to access those files. The system can access files >4GB's via a DLNA server formatted in a file structure that can hold files >4GB's (NTFS, HFS+, Ext3, etc...).DrXym said:I have lots of x264 encoded content. It just has to be muxed into an .mp4 container. There is also a limit on filesize and a few other things to be concerned about like lack of subs.

sajj316 said:TVerisity also works well with PODCASTS. I use both.
shidoshi said:Speaking of podcasts, ridiculous that the PSP has had podcast support for a long time and the PS3 still doesn't. There are some great video podcasts out there now, would be awesome to download them directly to the PS3.

Prezhulio said:cool feature....but can they honestly say anyone requested this app? i thought firmware updates would be stability and feedback based.
shidoshi said:If they can build in new features like this, why would they not do so? Stuff like this, contrary to the beliefs of some, aren't holding back things like cross-game invites or voice chat.

shidoshi said:Well, see, that's the thing - anything I have in SD is stuff that would work on the PS3 anyhow.

No, I think it's just the ability to grab themes available on the Blu-ray disc.Returners said:XMB Theme Support? Does that mean XMB in BluRay? or just the ability to grab themes from BluRay?
Billen said:So, this sorting by smiles feature is clearly very important. I for one am looking forward to checking out all my pictures in an orderly manner, without having to see all old people.
But how does it work? Magic? Is there a small gremlin inside the machine, telling the machine what picture has people smiling? I heard Japanese machines have gremlins in them.
patsu said:It's a software algorithm. The newer cameras can snap a picture by detecting smiles too (e.g., waiting for a baby or a dog to "smile" LOL).
3.0 firmware upgrade will be able to tell you which tooth needs fixing when you smile.
they want to get more people to sign up, what better way than letting people browse without having to?Blu_LED said:I'm so confused. Why would you need to guest PSStore support? Why would someone have a PS3, and an internet connection but not a PSN account?
