I recently had a package ordered from Amazon stolen by the UPS driver with no way of proving he stole it.
So you don't know he stole it.
I've worked for UPS before. Around this time of year, this is what happens: people know others are ordering expensive Christmas gifts (smartphones, consoles, tablets, etc.), They also know that UPS is basically the largest delivery service ever and that they're delivering the majority of these packages, Apple and Amazon use UPS (although Apple requires a signature). What people do is tail the UPS truck, wait for them to get a distance away and run up and steal the package that was left behind. Not the driver's fault. This happens often. Drivers and driver helpers are told to keep an eye out for this sort of thing when out delivering. Call UPS and Amazon's customer service departments and let them know your package was confirmed for delivery but you never actually received it and now it cannot be found.
Of course, the driver could have stolen it, as it does happen, especially this time of year. It is amazing how many UPS drivers get arrested every November/December for stealing packages
EDIT: So you've called both, don't stop calling until it's sorted out.
