Used PS2 RPGs: Where to buy?

So I was quite LTTP to the PS2 era and only bought it a couple years ago. I had no money, so I didn't buy very many games for it. I have a 60GB PS3 for a while now, along with some extra money, so I think it's time for me to try out some older PS2 RPGs.

The problems is... where do I buy them? The local EBGames is kind of crappy for used games, especially RPGs. Is there a place online (aside from Ebay, ugh) that I can find them readily?

There's Amazon and then craigslist for used stuff. You may be paying kind of high there though.

What games are you looking for? I've got a handful I'm trying to get rid of myself. :lol
 
could try your local video rental store if you have one in close proximity. When I used to work at one, they had a bin full of the older games that didn't get rented often for sale. Condition in this case though isn't great though since most of the games I rented when I worked there(using my employee account) often were in crappy conditions and some games wouldn't even play at all.

Other than that since you're pretty much limited to online retailers :s
 
GAF has a buy/sell/trade thread you could look into


i like to think our members are honest enough to make transactions like those without scamming each other...

Yup bought a copy of Lost Planet. Had ZERO problems/
 
Amazon and eBay both work great for me. (make sure you use PayPal on ebay, and always check the # and quality of feedback left)

Amazon has been gold for finding PS2 RPGs for me.
All new (unopened) for games older than 3 years ago with low prints.

This. Never had any problems, added tons of stuff to my collection this way.

This is a great time to buy used PS2 RPGs, by the way. Many of the greats (FFX and X-2, Dragon Quest 8, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, etc.) are quite cheap at this point, many of the previously hard-to-find titles (Shadow Hearts 1, SMT: Nocturne, etc.) have been reprinted by GamesQuestDirect and are now much cheaper... I actually can't think of a title you would be forced to pay more than $40 for off the top of my head, which is a huge step up from the PS1 (and hasn't been true before right now at any point this generation...)
 
Well, that's the thing. I don't know what I'm looking for specifically. :lol Kind of want to browse and look before I buy.

Hmm, SH:C is available there? That game's pretty hard to find lately. I played it a while back when I lent it from a friend, but it would be nice to actually own a copy.

Mostly NA stuff. Phantom Brave + Guide, SO3 with slipcase, La Pucelle, probably Makai Kingdom, and my DDS set. I do have two Generation of Chaos (JP versions though) games to sell as well but no one wants those. :lol

How much are you asking for your DDS set?

There's a Book Off here in San Diego but the selection, the last time I checked, wasn't that good.

There are a number of copies on Half.com going for $40 or less, and it seems to go pretty cheap on eBay as well. I've seen copies turn up not too infrequently for $20 at Gamestop as well.
