The trailer focusing on the speech is fantastic. As somebody who lives in the UK, I'll just say that it hit hard.

Looking forward to seeing this again on the big screen.

But even then we can look back with 20/20 vision and realize the media bias which is all too apparent today existed back then but was just much more subtle

Alan Moore, the original creator and writer of the comic book, criticized the movie for turning a story about totalitarian vs. anarchy set in Britain into American politics and he was right. The Wachowski Brothers are hacks who got lucky with the original The Matrix

The film dumbed down the story from the comic. These days you see a lot of people projecting whatever they want onto it.

Was thinking the other day about when you could buy the comic bundled with the V mask, but people kept using it for Anonymous purposes. I remember my mate bought it and called it "The 4chan anon mask" I cringed.

Maybe I should read the comic, it's more relevant than ever with how Britain is now.

Yeah that didn't age well. The reality is the UK has de facto blasphemy laws outlawing criticism of Islam, and the state allows attempted murder if it is provoked by someone 'offending' Islam.

I always dug the movie. Sure, there are issues and quibbles both from the source material and the movie itself, but the themes remain just as potent if not more eminent as time goes on
