Do QORE demos eventually become free to all?
I have no idea, but making a UK PSN account takes 3 minutes.Princess Skittles said:Do QORE demos eventually become free to all?
This was the huge thread earlier this year on the import version with a small impression on what the CE goodies were like:Valkyr Junkie said:Decisions, decisions. Either get the game from EB/GS and get the artbook, or order from Amazon and get the game for $3 less, no tax/shipping costs, and then get $10 off a future game. Are there any details of how high quality the artbook is?

And in that thread, there was a link to a site with pics of the CE version of the game that came with a tank model, an Alicia figure, and the world book that looks to be the one we'll be getting, only translated.

I pre-ordered for the book because I'm a sucker for game fiction and doesn't cost any extra.
Hcoregamer00 said:That is assuming your store gets it, remember that they are printing a limited amount.
Your mileage will vary with this preorder bonus, especially if your store employees like grabbing first dibs.
Kagari said:Very true. Fuck those employees that do such things >:|
DunpealD said:The game will definitely be a day 1 to me... well not exactly since I'm importing it. :lol
btw. since the release is getting closer and closer... What's the title of the official thread? Has it been decided, yet?
Hcoregamer00 said:It's not like I don't have any faith in them, I just got burned way too many times when getting preorder bonuses (or a lack of them).
You bet your ass I will be bitching to high heaven if I don't get my artbook.
The one store I go to has been pretty good when it comes to pre-orders so I haven't had a problem with them yet, but I'll keep my fingers crossed just the same.Hcoregamer00 said:That is assuming your store gets it, remember that they are printing a limited amount.

Hcoregamer00 said:Hey Guys and Girls, a minor update.
I was talking to the gamestop employee when I was picking up Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia and I was greeted with a good response regarding the preorder bonus. The store manager told me that the artbook will be available at pick up, but he also told me that it should be arriving a week beforehand, so if you store manager/worker is kind enough they can give you the book the week before the game is released.
Like always, each store is different, so you experience will differ.
Call gamestop just to save on gas (and frustrations)
Volcynika said:Awesome. So it is coming out the 4th?
Hcoregamer00 said:Yes, he confirmed it to me that it was coming out in November 4th.
Of course, by that he means shipping day, which means each store will get it the Wednesday or Thursday after the date.
Volcynika said:Aight. That week I have a test on the third, and two tests on the fifth, so Valkyria will be waiting at the end of the tunnel!
Nah. Too patronizing. Also a bit creatively bankrupt since it was used many times before. Above all, it may attract trolling and / or posts discussing the title instead of the game.Hcoregamer00 said:I thought it was "Valkyria Chronicles: If you don't buy it, you are part of the problem"
Durante said:One other option I'm still thinking about is
"Valkyria Chronicles - Official Thread of genre-redefining gameplay".
What surprised me most in this thread is how many people claimed that they never played/liked SRPGs but where excited by the demo of VC. This title is an attempt to communicate that and get non SRPG regulars to click on it.
you us guys are lucky that you get a bonus ;_;Hcoregamer00 said:Hey Guys and Girls, a minor update.

5. Are there any plans for downloadable content, expansion packs?? Any other unusual additions?
In Japan, on 8/8, our first batch of download content was released. This includes a new side-episode that centers on some of the side-characters, as well as a new extra-hard difficult. At the end of October, we hope to have our second content set released. (This will center on the Imperial Armys Selveria squad fighting against the Gallian army in another additional episode). Plans for download content for the overseas releases are still to be determined.
Make no mistake, Valkyria Chronicles is a really, really, really good tactical RPG, and fans of the genre should pick it up without delay, but beneath the inviting exterior and thoughtfully designed battle system lies a game with a few too many clunky inconsistencies which directly impact the strategic heart of the experience.
Mass Effect redux?Paracelsus said:Why I have the feeling they haven't reviewed it as a strategical role playing game, but more like an action third person shooter? Maybe those are the risks of developing an hybrid.

Vorador said:Strangely, no local game stores list the game as a release on 31 (or even being in the "upcoming games" lists at all), so i guess i will have to purchase it online and wait a few days until it arrives.
I have my doubts :-/ oh well. I will check in the 31 if they have it, if not, i will pick it up from play.com, 55 pvp with free shipping is very tempting.

Do eeeeeeet!

Apparently this was taken from the developer blog.

Strangest thing, I couldn't get into RoR. I can't quite remember what put me off about it, but I ended up giving it away to a friend.BruceLeeRoy said:Dang.
Just got done playing the demo was a absolute blast to play.
Reminds me a little bit of Ring of Red which is a good thing.
I love the mechanics definitely did a good job combining the
action RTS genres.
Ah crap too many games.
this explains EVERYTHING! rofl, wtf D:Dark Octave said:*reads review*
I knew one of the Final Fantasy Tactics guys did the music for VC!![]()
Too bad about the cover system. Hope it isn't too much of a problem.
