They didn't announce anything similar when they contacted those affected by the password exploit a while back, so I doubt they will. They may give an update statement if new info comes up though, which would be similar to the forum hack several years ago.

someone broke into my friends steam account
they're online right now playing counterstrike
my friend is overseas, and they might've changed his email so i don't know if he can verify ownership
considering the timing of the breach, i can't help but think that this isn't coincidental

should i contact support?
will they even get back to me?
