Here is my breakdown of the responsibility:

Michael Jackson: 40% - he's an adult who had no childhood, surrounded by parasites. But an adult.
His "People" and family: 50% - they abused him and leeched from his talent. For decades. They enabled this doctor.
His Doctor: 10% - guilty as shit, but not the main culprit.

Like hell he isn't. He is a doctor and should have at least acted as such.

I think you should switch the percentage between 2 &3 and I think you have the right idea.

If I went and got a murderer and put him in your house, what would my responsibility be for your death?

Such bullshit but this was to be expected with it being such a high profile case. So much finger wagging going on, I've no doubt in my mind that most people would be 'greedy' and take the $100k a month he was getting for taking care of the king of pedos.

How many years can one get for killing the King of Pop?
According to TMZ:

at most 4 years in state prison

But because it's California:
that would likely become 2 years in county jail

And because of overcrowding:
likely house arrest

Of course, especially when there is no evidence (except gossip) to support whatever you're saying at all!

What are you even talking about? Should we now bend laws to suit society's baser instincts? I don't even agree with your premise, but the argument itself makes no sense whatsoever.

"Dr. Murray now faces up to four years in prison and the loss of his medical license. "

I mean I thought his license would be gone no matter what without a trial. Seems retarded not to do that.

If this "high profile case" (is it?) was about "up to 4 years" this whole time I feel trolled. Maybe I don't know much about manslaughter cases.

When Wesley Snipes gets out of prison it'll be 3-4 years right?

The media kept trying to turn this shit into OJ 2.0 but did anyone really give a shit? I know I could not have cared less.

It's very odd - you can imagine MJ was probably pleading to Dr. Murray to give him something to help his insomnia problem. Insomnia is horrible - especially prolonged insomnia. Personality changes, irrational behavior, emotional instability etc. etc., frankly, you're depressed and in pain if you can't fucking sleep for weeks on end.

MJ pleaded - Dr. Murray said no. MJ said I'll give you 1.2 million a year - Dr. Murray thought "you know, if MJ wants it, and if it will make him feel better, and I got a million bucks, sure why the fuck not."

I actually talked to my brother who is a doctor, and his opinion on this matter is why he remains detached with his patients. Solve the problem via textbook response, if the problem is not fixed and the patient continues to seek help yet a reasonable textbook solution cannot be found - don't become the next Patch Adams and instead say, "sorry, the treatments I know of have not worked, let me refer you to another physician if you seek further alternatives. K thx peace out.."

The more Doctors become invested with their patients the more problems arise. Dr. Murray should have told Michael to fuck off if standard procedure sleep aides weren't working.

Ha, I just noticed that the judge in this case is the same one I had earlier this year when I narrowly avoided jury duty (I was initially juror 7 and the absolute last person to be dismissed by the defense). Obviously a different case, but it was funny to recognize him immediately, and only by his voice. When I saw video, I was even more sure.

Shows how much I've been paying attention to this trial, I guess.

Sentence is being passed now. Judge is really throwing the book at him. Will likely get towards the maximum sentence possible.

EDIT: 4 years.

Good. I miss Michael Jackson. I am still bitter because he died and I was *this* close to getting tickets to his This Is It tour.

:/

The doctor is far more responsible then 10%, sorry. The doctor could have said no and walked a way, instead he decided to feed his addiction to the point where Michael Jackson died. He sold out so he could get money/ I don't care if someone else would have given it to him, then it would have been that persons fault.
