"Very high interest" in PS3 Super Slim from Xbox 360 owners - Sony

Cant see this at all happening.

- Ps2 had alot more exclusives than ps3 has
- Ps2 was much cheaperat this stage in the console generation than the new Ps3

And who would want to buy a ps3 now for that price, when next-generations consols are just around the corner?

lol you know why they call it a ps3? because when you see it, you turn 360 degrees and walk away

i think they wouldve been, for $100 less...it's a missed opportunity. then again i dont know their current cost of manufacturing.

Yup, that's probably what I'm gonna do: Pray that the PS4 has BC (lol) and isn't like 899$ (6 jobs).

Hmmm...I don't really get it, but when you turn 360 degrees, you actually walk towards it...

"We saw the same kind of thing happen in reverse during the PS2 years when a lot of PS2 consumers said they wanted to get an Xbox because of Halo and some other games," he continued. "So we think the strategy works and it's a good one."
He kind of has a valid point.

I'm extremely interested in this new slim, ive been waiting for it for a few months now as a 360 owner.

The price however was shocking and I no longer think i want it... i was hoping for something around 150-200. wtf....... way to drop the ball sony.

Lol. By 'interest' do they actually mean 'pointing and laughing?' I mean, sure, chatter levels are up.

Because there's an high chance Versus is an Multi platform title. Not so much with The Last Guardian.

there's no chance that the last guardian will be multiplatform, but i think you'd be insane to buy now a console for a game that for all that matters we are not even sure will be released for this sony console (what i mean is that it could become a ps4 title).

TLG could have made some xbox360 user buy a ps3 when the game was first announced, but i don't think any game stuck in development hell has the power to shift hw.

You know those surveys that people keep filling out where it says "what systems do you own?" at the end? That's how they piece this crap together.

"Would you be interested in buying a PS3 that has more gigs and is cheaper and redesigned"? Who wouldn't says "yes"?

I find surveys dumb and useless.

Maybe they meant 360 Xbox owners, as in the total sales to Xbox owners this will achieve between now and the end of year.

It's been confirmed to still be a PS3 title at GamesCom.

It's very likely the price will go down as well once the old Slims get cleared.

I don't think it's all that likely. Both the PS3 and 360 have been due a price drop for some time but neither are budging. They both just want to eek out as much profit as possible.

At the same time there is no chance of the last guardian being a system seller. By the time it gets released (assuming it does) it will be too late to move any consoles and it's a niche game anyway.

and still doesn't have a release date... it doesn't even have any recent gameplay video.

do you really expect TLG to be a reason to buy a PS3 (with an increased price) after all these year that it's been stuck in development hell?

if so you are being delusional.
TLG will be shifting hw when a release date will be announced, until then it's meaningless (from a sales POV)

No, I never said the game would be a System seller.

As an Xbox owner I must say that the complete opposite is true for me.

I was considering getting a PS3 for Xmas so that I could play The Last of Us but the super slim is so ugly and cheap looking that I will only buy a PS3 if I can get an old regular slim.

The super slim is what I would call a hype killer, which is strange because Sony usually make great looking hardware.
