(I didn't find it funny, but only because i haven't played L4D. Only a select few of the comics he does are genuinely funny, but there are so many worse webcomics it's odd that this one gets ragged on the most around these parts.)

It just wasn't that funny and I've played L4D like 100+ hours at least. It's a truism, but with no real humor behind it at all. Also, quite frankly, it goes on too long. I mean that's a common thread with VGCatz but it's still true.

and if there is a comic done that is actually decent, people don't hate on it. Calling it a sheep mentality isn't true at all, it's just bad, and many people are able to see that. I think the Dead Rising Wii one was alright not too long ago.

When he actually produces a good one, a thread for it either doesn't exist or is much less replied about than one everyone hates. It's much easier to type about something people hate, it seems.

I don't think VGcats is supposed to be a regular and big project for it's creator like Penny Arcade is; he just makes one once in a while now, maybe this webcomic isn't on the top of his priority list anymore? It's almost as if people have extremely high expectations for some reason and act as if they have just been raped in the eye sockets every time they're not funny enough, that or they just enjoy trolling it because he draws himself as a cat, or something. Maybe you're all just masochists. :lol

How many other web comics do you even read? 99% of webcomics are never funny. NEVER. There's like one for every 1000 that are even remotely amusing, and this has been a couple times (Cooking mama, potatomoto series, kirby sucking up a whore, and quite a few of the older ones when he actually worked hard on this).

The L4D one has some unnecessary questions. Really, it just needs 'are you infected?', and 'is your team winning', and if the answer is no to both, then an arrow going to 'rage quit' to convey what happens a lot in a public vs game. It doesn't need the 'did you fuck up', 'are you still fucking up', 'did you win', and 'do you enjoy lying' questions at all. I have never played a game where someone quit if they did not get the Tank. That's just stupid.

yeah, the problem with the internet is you can make absolute shit, but since anyone can use it, cretins will come along and love it and worship it no matter how dumb it is. So Scott Ramsomebrokenbottlesupmyassomair actually makes money off this webcomic.

I mean, humor is subjective, and there are plenty of awful syndicated comics out there, too, but VGCats is worse than even the worst syndicated comics can be. I mean, Marmaduke is funnier than VGCats on average.

I have never played a game where someone quit if they did not get the Tank. That's just stupid.

me and you both play pc version. i would like to think the people on the pc play a lot nicer then the console variants (it has been that in my experience anyway). can you say people on the 360 dont get upset by not being tank and quit? i know people on the pc quit after one round as infected and dont even bother to play the first round as the survivors so to me i would believe if they quit by not being a tank. yeah he could have removed one of the questions and still had the same effect but meh its not that bad that he put one more in. *shrug*

I've never seen it discussed and never seen it in person, so I'd hope that not being the Tank would not be a reason for anyone to quit. The 360'ers would know.

These threads exist because we know that Scott is perfectly capable of making funny comics. He's done it several times before. We even try to show him how with the photoshops. We are like a patient teacher to a talented but hardheaded student.

Generally yes, but there have been some legendary shops. Almost every VGCats thread eventually has some kind of funny put into, otherwise people would ignore them completely.
