Video Game Music Suitable for Wedding situation?

we are using FF7 prelude for the family seating but otherwise going non videogame music. also as others have said having random internet people pick songs for your wedding reception is pretty lame.

So my wedding is coming up and we are stuck at selecting music for our reception event. I am having my wedding in our hometown Shanghai and the way to do it here is a pretty elaborate reception dinner that's scripted.

My wife and I are both video game fans and we both play JRPGs heavily, but we also play other games, such as MMO / MOBA for me and rhythm/adv games for her. While trying to choose from what we call "normal people" music for our wedding, we got fed up and decided to go with exclusive game (and maybe anime) music (doesn't have to be vocal) for our wedding.

Now we just need to decide what to play for the different segments. Any and every suggestion is appreciated and welcomed.

BTW - SINCE WE ARE ALREADY IN CHINA, youtube won't work for us, full song name and we can most likely find it on google =D

As for suggestions, I'd look at the Lost Odyssey OST. It's interesting to see what Oemetsu can do outside of the confines of the final fantasy franchise.
 
You could easily use Dearly Beloved from KH during the exchange of either the vows or rings, Chocobo Racing from FFVII for one of the mini game segments and of course, you both need to make your entrance to Snake Eater.

Oh and use Guile's Theme for the cake cutting.

I know a guy and his now wife who marched to a few Final Fantasy Tactics tracks, including "Brand Logo ~ Title Black." "Ramza's Theme" also has a lovely medieval atmosphere to it. As long as you avoid the gloomier themes the FFT soundtrack has some incredible ambient orchestral arrangements suitable for a celebration.
 
We walked into the reception with:

See You Again - Ys Perfect Collection

During dinner at our wedding reception, I put together a selection of songs that was all game music except for the last song. The design was to be sorta light mellow music that would fit for a nice dinner where nobody would think otherwise, but those that were gamers would get an nice kick at recognizing all the music. I got praise from all my gamer friends.

It started off with more mellow/classical feel and worked its way to be more upbeat with a bit of jazz towards the end of it. When I told my girlfriend back then, now my wife of course, she kinda rolled her eyes at me but I told her to trust me, it'll be tasteful. Not only was she impressed, but she really loves the selection and plays it all the time off her iPhone at work to this date.

Yeah I can agree with this, it'd be cool but since it's just going to be between you and the bride (since the guests are normal people and probably won't fully appreciate the music) then you should probably go with songs that are meaningful to both of you.

Still, here's a few suggestions. These are mostly just nice sounding and a bit upbeat, nothing too heavy or inappropriate for a wedding IMO. Bolded are super super recommended.

I am looking for something grand, fitting for a climax yet loving and sweet.

Any version of the Final Fantasy Prologue theme (not the crystal/title theme) should work. For best example, search for Final Fantasy IV Prologue theme.

Finally I am settling on Genesis of Aquarion for the kiss.

It will start from the 1200000 year segment
it will be epic (i hope XD)
