Maybe a better screen. 7" screen on something as big as the Ally is stupid now. There's some 8" handhelds that are smaller.

The pessimist in me is saying it's a downgrade from 24gb ram to 16gb ram because of memory prices lol.

Z2 Extreme?

I could see it just being a generic non-XBOX branded Xbox Ally X.

NVIDIA gets hate, but AMD deserves much more with how long they keep pushing out the same chip year after year.

Yeah, I'll be more interested in Intel based offerings this year although I bet everything is going to have jacked up prices.

Hopefully theyll add oled screen. All that device really needs.
Also for people expecting upgrades spec wise. There arent really any new chips besides intel g3 series announced now.

This, and AMD also has fucked up naming, e.g. the Ryzen 5 5500/5700 essentially being mobile chips (Cezanne), unlike any other in that non-APU line-up.
I saw people recommend the 5500 all the time because it's cheap. It's also dog shit.

The nicer Intel based handhelds are looking to run $1500+ (closer to $2K most likely with 24GB and 1TB+).

I just don't think there is going to be anything reasonable for next 2-3 years unless that Intel/Nvidia combo manages to sell for less (hah) or AMD released RDNA5 APU.

Seems as though most people in this thread, and especially Mr. Huang here, are conflating the Asus ROG Ally with the Asus ROG Xbox Ally. The former does NOT use Z2E, nor does it look like that...as it is a completely different handheld.
This would be an actual upgrade to the ROG Ally. Not "still uses" Z2E.
